I have come across several very well written and complete fanfics in my time. Having said that, 99% of them really are trash.
Here are two that immediately come to mind, "Wild Wolf" by Vimesenthusiast and "I wouldn't exactly call that sitting" by dogbertcarroll, both found at fanfiction . net.
Please note that even though both of these are well written it does not necessarily mean you will like them. There are plenty of well written books that I simply do not like. Romance novels come to mind. It does not change the fact that they are well written.
