what I was expecting was a story about a reincarnator who trained like hell and eventually carved out a place for himself with his own power and effortswhat I got was a cultivation-lite power fantasy based loosely on the world of Naruto. All the subtlety and intrigue normally found in the base setting were thrown out the window in favor of face slapping and needless power flexing and wuxia level arrogance and selfcenterednessseriously, "Super Kage Level" power before the Chunin exams. decent premise, moderate execution, and BS levels of power creep.

Keep in mind that peasant revolts have succeeded in real world history. Even more prominent are coups where some nobles take over a budding revolt and turn it into a political action.fun fact: the cost of a full plate armor back then is roughly equivalent to a sports car now, add in a horse, and it's a Ferrari.

This plan also ensures I get the common folk's good side. There is a saying on Earth that goes, 'Take the good side of the common folk, and you will live comfortably for the rest of your life' or something along that line.

so Shatter is just a re-skin on the Rough Skin ability to suit the theme...

To say that this form was a nightmare to fight head-on would be an understatement. With Stamina, every attack he received would just continue to increase his defense even further. Shatter, on the other hand, was a unique Ability to this form that made it so any physical damage he took would cause pieces of his rocklike skin or fur to break off and embed themselves in the flesh of the attacker, with the missing parts quickly growing back. Even against a Fighting Type, whose moves would be super effective against him, anything short of a one hit knockout would quickly turn into a one sided beatdown. That is, if he were in a world with inhabitants that were at least as strong as him.
