I don't like this aspect of the story. Erio in my eyes was a great character because he was a regular monster that MADE himself special. With him being a sorta reincarnated sage, it makes him more of a chosen one instead of a rising anti-hero. He wanted to make the world a better place for his kids because they affected him on an emotional level, not because he was the super-duper-special-guy-able-to-tear-down-the-established-system-because-his-crystal-is-the-largest. I don't know. Anyone else?
I'm unclear as to what arithmetic calculations they are attempting. Are they going for something like rudimentary orbital mechanics, or simply planetary distances relative to (insert the story's planet name here)?
Hmmmm...A dungeon that perfectly suits Foster right out the gate? highhhhly susssspect...
I see three roads: 1. Foster fights her for it. 2. Foster recruits he using his OTHERWORLDLY charsisma. 3. Foster calmly asks the shopkeep for a second map. (resorting to either step 1 or 2 when he inevitably says that map was the last one)
Will Foster use math and the stars to see if the planet exists in the same dimension? He would need a REALLY big brain to do even think about it, but he could theoretically do it...right?
Finally! An MC in a web novel that doesn't have to defend his 'honor' or probe his 'strength'. Foster knows who he is, and he own it, wearing it like a badge.
The one thing that transcends dimensions and worlds: bureaucracy.
I hope they have normal bread in this world; good post-vomit food.
Old man smithy better prepare himself, for Foster's drunken martial arts if he backs out.
