I wonder if anyone's noticed that several characters mentioned come from the Mafia video game series? Joe Barbaro, Tommy Angelo, etc. Even Joe's description fits the game character.
I mean, the author asked for how the readers wanted the MC to develop, and the majority voted for a 'selfish' character. Now I personally think it's a bad call for an author to put something as important as the main character's personality to a vote, but if you're going to do it, you might as well follow through.
