And here I was thinking it would be a bloodwood mech, but suppose woodsap makes more sense.
If he had to call it by a name, then he would call these hypothetical creations Woodsap mechs, as they derived their power from the incredibly nurturing Woodsap Pact between a Carmine mech and a mech pilot.

Phase Lords?
"Third-rate and second-rate states will not remain as defenseless as before against hostile human cultivators or native alien raiders." The Evolution Witch promised to the relevant cultivators. "It is true that your states does not enjoy the wealth to strengthen the defenses of all of your colonies. However, this age has opened up many new possibilities for your citizens to attain power through more diverse means. We are not yet ready to announce the plans that we have tailored to your specific conditions, but I can promise you that you will enjoy rights that first-raters do not necessarily possess."

Even if the actual results were not as good as Ves hoped, it was already good if the Amaranto Mark III was able to snipe targets that were 'merely' a light-second away.

Ves should have had some bots ready to collect all the blood he is about to shed for it's phase water...
The high-end archemech began to draw a pair of knives from his rear holsters.

Meh, not sure the difference between this and the cross patriarch doing the same. The other aspects of it are more problematic in my mind. I also wonder how much influence the kingdom of mechs was able to actually have when everything else seemed to be cut off.
The injured expert pilot softly scoffed. "The Zeal… let me down. He betrayed me, just like Ylvaine. I did what was necessary at the time. I… sacrificed his life so that I could become stronger in the process. Since my living mech isn't of use to me anymore when he is alive… then he can only be useful to me when he is dead. I do not need him anymore. I have become strong enough to fight my own battles."
