Bel tried to keep her hand still as Davien helped her out of her dress, but it was hard to stay calm when she was so painfully aware of everything he was doing, even though she couldn't see him. The wetness of her dress wasn't helping either.
She couldn't figure out how she had let him convince her, but he was right. She was already drenched, and the water felt nice. She could also tell it would feel even better without her clothes on. However, she wondered if she was going easy on him.
"Should I pull it over your head?" he asked, his voice sounding hoarse.
"No," Bel said, pulling the sleeves off her shoulders and out her hand. She swam out of the dress, and Davien wasted no time tossing the dress out of the water. It landed on a nearby rock, spread out.
Bel frowned and turned to look at him, had he known it would do that or was he just lucky? He winked as their eyes met and Bel looked away. There was no way the dress would dry in time.
