บท 12: Calamity
~Mushroom Kingdom Police Department, just after the shockwave~
Police Toad: Everyone, there's a sonic blast found in a suburban area. We're gonna need some medics, & chaos control.
Hal Monitor: Oh gee, that sounds terrible.
PT: Don't be such a worrywart. You still haven't had a year's worth of experience & chaos that we usually been through.
Hal: I'm pretty sure that be a minor disaster.
PT 2: I wouldn't say that. Because a person at the epicenter caused it.
PT 3: Yeah, you think it could be a suicide bomber?
PT: There ain't no time for that! Let's move!
(As the police brigade heads to the scene, Hal feels anxious, knowing too well about what he said to Lo & Maya back then, about being prepared for the unexpected)
Hal: I hope those people are alright...
~Suburbs?!~
Mario: Well... we're f*k'd!
????: Let's go play a game. (begins hovering as some dark goop pops out of his back & spreads through the crater-like wildfire)
Maya: I'll get back up. (parts the gang for some help)
(???? then rushes to the bystanders as dark goo overtakes him. The trio runs off to a safe house)
Zel: What now?
Mario: (proceeds tossing fireballs at ????) Oh, I don't know, how about calling your mom? I bet she had some deity-like powers!
Zel: Look, I know my stepmother's a fox girl, but she can't possibly be magical!
Mario: Well at least I had some ordinary-looking friends that had extraordinary powers, like my brother that has a jacked bod whenever he's near sexy men. (gestures to his brother close by, only to realize he wasn't here) GAH-DAMMIT!
Luigi: (starts his Poltergust G-00) Hey, jerko! (???? then notices him) Get ready to face this!
(Luigi set it to super mode & ????'s merely getting pulled in) It's working!
????: not quite (tosses his sword on the Poltergust & it explodes, leaving Luigi defenseless) You should work on its durability.
(???? then pummels him & yeats him onto a yaoi's house)
Goomba Yaoi: Ah! What are you doing here?
Luigi: Don't worry, guys. I'll- (realizes that Yuri on Ice is playing on TV) Never mind, I'm good.
Zel: LUIGI! (tries rushing to his help but ???? dropped by)
????: well well well, if it ain't the girl host. You've grown a bit since the last time I saw you.
Zel: You're not the Lo I used to know. Get out of here at once!
????: Hush now, feisty one. I see that you are still alive after that debacle.
Zel: It would take more than an energy concussion to stop me.
????: Guess so. (lifts his sword) & so does this!
(& with a quick stroke, Zel's arm came clean off! She screamed in agony as she fell. Mario then punched ???? hard, but it looked like a mere scratch)
Mario: Release him at once!
????: Heh. Long time, no see, is it, Mario?
Mario: Wait, I know you!
(???? then chokes Mario as the fire rages on)
????: Too bad you're spaghetti gimmick doesn't work on me! One of my friends made sure of it!
Mario: Who?!
(The police then finally arrived, & for Hal, all he sees is pure horror)
????: Well now... (releases Mario from his grasp) I guess it's time for this child to play.
(With a jingle ringing to his ears, he leaps to the police blockade & starts slashing troopers left and right, not wasting a second of pure agony)
Hal: I can't believe it.
PT 2: I know man. This is a bigger threat than what's on the bank, huh?
Hal: I think this...
PT 2: Dude?
Hal: This...
(Just then, ???? jumps onto the police car & decapitates the poor Police Toad. For Hal Monitor, it's the final straw. He rips apart his bulletproof vest & punches out the windshield as if it's made of Lego)
THIS IS ILLEGAL, SIR! (takes the minigun on the police car & fires bullets on him)
????: Oh, now that's more interesting.
(???? & Hal then fought to the death, from Saber to Shooter. Mario witnessed this in shock while Zel's bleeding out)
(Meanwhile, a harpy overlooks the scene on a massive tree close by, with communications running to her head)
???: Status update.
Alpha: The subject looks stable, but this cop's beyond level. This vessel ain't be ready for this.
(That's when Hal shot him in the knee, effectively wounding him) See?!
???: Don't worry. It seems that Ztar's already had his fun. Send him back.
(Back on the ground, Ztar tries to get back on his feet when Hal clocks a pistol to his forehead)
Hal: Say your prayers, little man!
(As Hal ready his last shot, Alpha lets out a high-pitched shriek that shocks Hal from his kill. The beast gleams in the moonlight with long silver hair, razor-tip claws, and a thin tail with a syringe stuck at the end of it. It is what the other universe called a "Murder Drone", or more preferably, those Disassembly Drones one interstellar company called nowadays)
Hal: (diverts attention) Gnarly.
(The drone then tosses Hal out of the scene & grabs Lo's hand. She begins hacking onto his arm & starts transferring Ztar's soul onto hers)
Zel: NO! STOP IT! (hesitates as her wound gets bigger)
(The beast then unleashes an ear-splitting scream & flies off. As the last of Ztar's consciousness is gone, Lo then passes out)
Mario: (grabs Zel & Lo) This is getting too intense for Mario. Let's-a go!
(Mario then BLJ's his way out of the crime scene as the smoke dies down from the carnage)
~November 1, 2019~
Luigi: (comes out of the hole) What in the world happened?!
Yaoi Goomba: OH GOD, what happened here?
Luigi: Beats me.
(As the two wondered what happened, Hal emerged from the tree, where the entire police waited for him)
PT 3: What should we do, sir? Both the chief & sub-chief are dead.
(Overtaken by trauma, Hal Monitor then realizes: That all those who are Illegal will be punished, & he's the only one to eliminate it)
Hal: Alright my men, let's close down the area. If anyone's affected, give them details on last night. This man will not let go of my grasp!
Police Toads: Sir, yes sir!
PT 3: You know what, you're gonna do just fine, Promoted Commander Hal.
~Unknown Lair~
(Alpha makes her way to ???'s pedestal as Ztar breaks through her head monitor)
Ztar: WHAT GIVES, BOSS? I WAS HAVING TOO MUCH FUN HERE!
???: That so, but you almost had your goose cooked by that scary screenman. That vessel would not be powerful enough for you to take on.
Ztar: Are you saying you had a bigger, better, suit in store?
???: What else were you think what I'd do while you're busy messing around? (unveils near Ztar a direct replica of a dark man with a Projector on his head. That is Bendy & The Ink Machine's The Projectionist at its finest form) Took me a lot of deals from shady Dark Web residents for this fine specimen.
Ztar: (is visibly astounded by the grand display, before snapping back to his senses) I'm starting to like this partnership already...
(Ztar then parts from Alpha & flies straight to the suit. The suit then contorts & breaks off some parts as Ztar feels like it needs a few more touches before it becomes a vessel worthy of a destructive god like him. Meanwhile, a timer ticks close by as something massive is about to make landfall on Earth...)
Alpha: I need to get my screen checked.

Electric_Logan Ladies & gentleman, introducing Hal Monitor!
I feel like I could give him more screen time to the SMG4 universe overall since he was screwed over from the inappropriate timing on one of his limelight episodes (& even cost the future of one crime-breaker too). Plus, what do you expect from a seemingly innocent security guard from the first chapter end up becoming the law itself?!
Enough on him, I also got Murder Drones to the SMG4 universe as well, but I ended up creating a few questions. Are Uzi & N joining too? How did the big villain got that beast here? Is there a dog planet somewhere in the cosmos? Only time will tell...
Anyways, thanks for reading this refreshed chapter & I'll see you in another :)
