"Sister, what are you doing?"

Ophelia asked as she stepped out onto the terrace. Violet was standing there alone, her eyes clouded as if she was deep in thought all this time.

The eighteen-year-old viscount daughter came closer and hugged her from behind. She put her head on the woman's shoulder and sighed. Since they returned from the Northern Mountains something has changed, but she couldn't tell what exactly.

"Lia, what's wrong?" Violet asked. "Are you not feeling well?"

"You are ignoring me, aren't you?" The noble lady pouted. "Your eyes are always on that brat or somewhere far away…"

Ophelia was feeling like complaining, but deep down she knew why Violet was in a gloomy mood. They hoped the Sage would be able to heal the duke right away, but it was already two days since the examination. The three of them talked alone and when they finally left the room, neither of them was willing to share the info.
