Axiolypito raised both of his hands up, as if hinting at her to calm down a little.
"It's very simple actually, you see, I only surround myself with trustworthy servants, by taking full control of them, no other monsters is allowed close to me apart from the other ministers..."
"...I don't believe any of them is at risk of divulging anything even if I shouted it inside every single room of this castle" Axio didn't immediately answer the question, instead deciding to build up suspense.
"It is just a good measure for what I am going to tell you next, I can't know whether or not there could have been something planted on them or something" he really was doing his best to make it sound like his intel was legitimate before even actually speaking about it.
He paused for an instant cleared his throat and looked up at Cradled Lich with a serious look that no ministers had ever gotten the occasion of seeing.
The everlasting smile scarred into his face seemed to evaporate as even its presence didn't add anything humorous to his expression.
"Scrap what I told you earlier, I know The Condemned is a filthy traitor for certain" he suddenly revealed, the first minister didn't react like earlier this time but was still taken aback by what he was telling her.
It was hard for her to believe him at face value, especially since he was well-known as the least loyal the Obsidian Queen, but unlike Faceless Lord, she was aware of the method used to get him to the queen's side.
As such, there were no reason to doubt his words, he had nothing to gain by putting up a charade like this when the queen controlled his movements.
If he was somehow not under her influence anymore, the queen would have surely already noticed by now too.
"The Condemned..." she scratched her skinless chin.
"I know because he tried to recruit me to join his cause" Axio then revealed, keeping up his act without any problem.
"He wants to usurp the Obsidian Queen's position-" inside Axiolypito's mind, he was smiling like an utter lunatic.
He honestly couldn't believe how much joy he was getting from tricking Cradled Lich like this, he just wanted to laugh and roll on the ground, his stomach was starting to hurt from all the repressed laughter.
None of this showed in the least as he recalled what he had learned about the wingless dragon during those few months.
He hadn't only focused on Cradled Lich and had certainly not ignored The Condemned's existence despite already counting him as already six feet under.
He had managed to uncover the origins of the sixth minister thanks to some groundwork and an inkling of just asking Faceless Lord.
As such, he knew that there was a very believable reason why the dragon would want the power of the monster monarch for himself, and also, why he wouldn't be able to achieve this fake goal Axio created if the queen remained in her spot.
"It would seem like he hasn't taken well to having his wings taken by his brethren to prevent him from becoming the new elder dragon" he spoke with intensity.
Cradled Lich seemed to think for a few moments before finally putting Axio down, she had indeed been holding him up like a cat for the past few minutes.
With his body all stretched out, he had looked the part, good thing no one was there to see all of this happen, otherwise, they may have gotten strange ideas about the sort of relationship he and the undead shared.
"I see, what was that about The Scourge however?" she kept her wits just as Axio wanted and bothered to question his words from earlier.
"The Condemned, when he tried to get me to switch to his side, told me that he already had someone else in on it" Axio relaxed his tense expression and calmly explained.
"I already know that Faceless Lord wouldn't even consider betraying the queen, he sees her as his own mother after all and if you have ever tried conversing with him, you would know he is more than genuine about it, not even the world's best liar could put up such a facade" the first minister nodded her head.
She had indeed attempted to speak with him and it tended to revolve around the same subjects if he was left to ramble on his own.
"Sovereign Of Flesh, as far a I know, can't even speak and is always close to the queen, there is simply now way for him to somehow manage to convince her without the queen or you noticing anything"
"As for you, well, you are nearly always right next to the queen and I have even heard that she gave you your true name from Faceless, as such, I deduced that The Scourge was the most likely candidate" Axiolypito stopped talking and Cradled Lich brought her hand over her face.
'She definitely has very 'lively' manners, she never does anything like that normally, is it because she's riled up?'
"That... Makes sense, I hate to admit it but it seems probable that we have two conspirators right at the top of our armies echelon" she seemed aggravated by this revelations, whilst it didn't show in her voice, it was clear to see anyways with her not-so subtle body language.
"Though, I am not certain about The Scourge, The Condemned may have been speaking about someone outside of our army or simply a monster of lower rank, but we must assume the worst so as to not be taken by surprise, wouldn't you agree?" Axiolypito spoke with a straight face.
"Of course, however this all comes at an unfortunate time, the queen has already departed to the closest continent, our marine troops have already conquered most islands on the way, we can't trouble her at such an important time of the invasion"
"I will inform her still but we will have to deal with this ourselves" she said, the dark glow in her empty eyes shining stronger.
"Don't worry, I will take care of the Condemned, simply focus on trying to uncover his ally for now, until then, we should just keep The Scourge away from this continent"
Cradled Lich nodded her head without questioning his confidence in defeating a dragon of such power.
The two looked at each other in silence before the dome of silence was dispelled and the lich turned around, ready to call for Faceless Lord and leave for the queen.
"By the way, your name, what is it?" Axio stopped her at the last moment.
"Reduvia" she answered simply.
