"I am here as per order of the queen" despite the fact that the air just talked, Axio didn't react much, his confidence in the defenses surrounding him iron clad.
"You can talk?" Axiolypito had been certain that The Scourge could do no such thing and he was perfectly right, he noticed that the air around the formless monster wasn't acting as it should.
"Cradled Lich has cast a spell on me to make the air voice out my thoughts" it replied, the voice it was given monotonous and bearing a single tone, neither it or the wretch were astonished by the complex spell, because they had no understanding of magic.
Had they had even a little bit, they would have known that a self-maintaining spell without using things like arrays was difficult on its own, but this spell was set to follow the formless minister, which wasn't exactly possible, meaning that the lich had used another, most likely more arduous, method to achieve it.
Not to mention that it voiced out The Scourge's thoughts, who were much different from anything else and generally incomprehensible, alas, such fine magic was only for fools to bear witness to.
Axio got dressed in a jiffy, not even mentioning the fact that he had been snuck on while wearing his birthday suit, minus the blood and guts.
"Let's get this over with, I am a busy wretch" he said dismissively as he moved around until he found Faceless Lord standing further away out of the room, the only one with enough decence was the one without eyes.
"Busy is one way to say it" The Scourge remarked, glancing back at the wretch's 'installations'.
Anyone walking into there would be mortified, after all, while the place was clean and tidy, as Axio spent most of his time there, the room was still filled with what was essentially sex slaves.
There were no chains or anything of that sort to be seen, Wretched Lord had the privilege of having a stock of easy to place seals directly from the magic genius of the ministers, and it didn't cost him much either, even if the lich was otherwise more difficult to negociate with than the orc.
The majority of his offsprings could be disected and taken apart for components of various usages, something Cradled Lich had a liking to.
As such everyone was just calmly staying there, waiting for Axio to come by, come again and then come once the next day to get a hold of the products delivered.
It was a grand industrial production that he had there, and this was only one of the many, many rooms dedicated to nothing but that!
And the only machine around there was himself, a pump machine to be specific.
"...You like elves?" asked The Scourge, although with the voice made from the spell, it sounded more like an affirmation than anything, an affirmation from a depressed, hollow man just about to throw himself through the highest window of the highest building.
"No" Axio just kept walking, not bothering the glance in the direction where the voice was sounding from, not that there was anything to see.
"...Why not?"
"Are you trying to do small talk?" Axiolypito asked a question rather than trying to answer his ludicrous question.
"Yes"
"Will you stop if I ignore you?"
"No"
"Will you stop if I do answer?"
"Maybe"
"Dear fucking me, you should have stayed mute!" he pointed his fingers at an empty space.
"This is hurtful..."
"You are not hurt"
"How did you know?"
'Alright, let's warp out of here' Faceless Lord interrupted this lunar back and forth and did as he said, taking the three of them near the borders separating Amor from the monster nation, the empire of the Obsidian Queen, which had yet to even receive a proper name, although they did have a banner.
Such banner was one of the article of clothings worn by Undying Prophet, who was sitting much closer than them to the border, resting his chin in his hands.
Seemingly deep in thought about something and apparently oblivious to their arrival.
In front of the orc, the mangled corpse of something that had gone unrecognisable under his repeated hits, somewhat embedded into the ground, signs that this bloody pile of flesh had managed to somewhat withstand the first few hits before being overpowered.
It was recent too, as one could see a piece of guts sliding down before splattering on the ground like a wet towel, a disgusting liquid escaping from it, mixture of most likely everything that could be found in the body.
If one were to dig through the broken flesh and the pieces of what seemed to be a robe, they would find the head of the victim.
Surprisingly, it was fairly intact, at least when compared to whatever had happened to the rest.
The lower jaw had only been nearly seperated from the upper part, the teeth on the lower portion having cleary been smashed to dust in one swift blow, courtesy of Undying Prophet simply bringing his fist down on them as if he was a drunkyard asking for another fill of his wooden tankard.
Tiny gills could be seen on the man's neck and his skin appeared as grey and moist.
The lightning elementalist, which might have actually been an electric elementalist considering that he had been some sort of eletric eel beastman, not that the orc would notice a difference, the troublesome mage had been succesfully slaughtered thanks to the intervention and valiant sacrifices of the offspring of Axio.
Now, after beating him to death, Undying Prophet had been left in deep thoughts, not about the fallen enemy but about a slight tingle he had been feeling recently, a tingle that reminded him on the one and only vision he had ever had.
This vision was where the 'Prophet' part of his title came from, he had had this vision at the same time that he realised that he was actually immortal.
Because he had it after getting his head lopped off, what a fond and tragic memory that was...
