"Any last words?" Axio smiled, Superstes may have had what it took to take him down then, but he had once again proved his omnipotence and evolved beyond her.
His growth wasn't nearing its end in the least, he still had much room for something even greater.
Though he had managed to undo his abilities to get back the energy he expanded using them, it wasn't returned to him in full and even then, doing it too much would still leave him some sort of tiredness, not that it mattered.
He had only done it once, Superstes had one arm slashed off and was bleeding out at a superbly fast rate, it was obvious that she couldn't regenerate anymore.
"No" she responded dryly, passing her hand through the blood flowing from her injury.
'Can I still do it?' she shook her head.
Both of the combatants were back to their starting expressions, one smug beyond human comprehension and the other ice-cold.
"Come on, do something" she gestured for him to approach, he only laughed at her.
"Ah, Superstes was it? I'll remember your name for certain! Truly my greatest foe!" he clapped his hands.
"Very shrewd too, which is why I will not approach you, you still hold hidden cards in your deck, yes?" she didn't show any reaction to his accurate claim.
"Honestly, I have shown you everything I can do, not many opponents can boast having seen more than one or two of my capabilities, you fought me at my best too!" he applauded her.
"Well, I showed everything that I had at the moment that is" he smiling brightly, his disgusting face contorting, any sort of smile he could put up on tarnished even further by the two scars running from the sides of his mouth.
"Just then, I figured something out" he revealed as extended his arm toward Superstes, palm facing the dark sky above.
The blonde girl was quite displeased that he kept coming up with brand new abilities and applications of his techniques, especially since the way he and her developped the fastest was the exact same.
"Paradigma: Proof Of Godhood" he calmly said.
Certain beings, like Faceless Lord were born with an ability known as a domain.
Great mages could push mana to its limit and create a zone, this also applied to any and all other energies.
But there were things even beyond those two things.
Dominion referred to the merging of a zone with a domain or another zone created from another energy.
Territory was merging three or more together.
Lastly, Paradigma was simply fusing every single sort of zones one could attain with a domain.
Superstes had heard of those from Blouvier, she was thus, understandly shocked when Axiolypito uttered those words.
The truth she couldn't realise right now was that this was now paradigma.
Axio, when he had created this dome and used his abilities to such an extent, had had a revelation, something had clicked in his brain.
He realised that just like Faceless Lord, he had had the capacity for a domain all of this time.
The reason why the word paradigma came to his mind was simple.
Proof Of Godhood was a domain that was on the same level as a fully fledged paradigma, it was simply divine.
An ability worthy of only a god that stood above all others.
Superstes was enclosed within a sphere seemingly made out of the walls the dungeons Awio normally created.
It seemed small on the outside, but on the inside, it was infinite.
"Crap" the heroine spoke grimly as blood tainted by dark began to seep out of her nose.
Axio's paradigma wasn't at its strongest, it was his first time using it and only his intent guided the creation of his ability.
He simply wished for Superstes to be killed, leading the inside of Proof Of Godhood to be filled with the true Abyss, so potent that even she couldn't ignore it, her skin was peeling off, her blood changing color from red to dark blue.
She was being corrupted.
The heroine breathed out slowly, retracting the particles of gold she had left hanging in the air for the entirety of the fight, standing firmly she stared ahead into the Abyss.
'He is convinced that he already won, I bet he won't move from the place he was just standing' uncaring for the fact that she was going to die both from excess bleeding and abyssal corruption, she focused her golden energy into her body to the max.
It was ludicrous to believe that Superstes would be able to break out of there, it should be inescapable.
Yet, Axiolypito couldn't discard this possibility.
He understood that Proof Of Godhood was an ability he would need to use diligently to even begin to understand, it wasn't nearly as simple as the rest.
Axio wasn't taken aback when Superstes broke out with sheer brute force, he prepared to move away only to suddenly slow down as something washed over him.
The second the heroine had realised she had managed to escape the paradigma, she used the one and only hero ability she had trained, precisely to be used against Axiolypito.
The instant she used it, the entirety of the pillar was engulfed within it, its power was simply, significantly reduce the movement speed of her opponent.
Of all things, Axio would have thought this sort of things would have been used at the very start of the fight, crippling his speed should be the first course of action taken against him.
Superstes had kept that under wraps the entire time! Waiting to use it when she had no other choice, when the possibility of her possessing such an ability had since long left her opponents mind.
Axiolypito didn't falter and rose his weak arms to defend himself from the approaching fist.
He would have to trust in his natural defenses against blows, she didn't have her weapon anymore after all, she couldn't slash through him like before.
'Can she?!' Axio didn't believe his defenses would work.
And he was right.
"Golden Glow!" his arms were both instantly blown away as the attack nullified all of his defenses.
