TN: Mahesvara – according to Wikipedia and other sources, Mahesvara is the other name of Lord Shiva, one of the principle deities of Hinduism. In the faith of Buddhism, Mahesvara is both the name and the ruler of the Great Realm of Freedom, the place in which those who have achieved enlightenment can reach, it is not Nirvana, but it does exist outside of the Samsara. I don't know enough about it to explain it well, just know that the Mahesvara realm has the same meaning as the Great Realm of Freedom. What I've said above is the real-world general knowledge, not details within the novel, as such the concepts described might differ.
