Chapter 12:
Chapter 12: Insulting
The ocean was vast and seemingly endless, but to Jörmungandr, it was his backyard.
The power from consuming the Megalodon still surged through him, amplifying his strength and solidifying his position over the waters.
As he roamed the depths, his senses heightened, he searched for any challengers who dared to trespass on his yard.
Jörmungandr's movements were fluid, a master of the underwater realm, thus his traveling speed was astronomically fast, crossing hundreds of kilometers in a matter of hours. And that was him going at casual speed.
In addition to his speed his control over water allowed him to navigate with agility, turning the ocean itself into an extension of his will.
As he journeyed deeper into uncharted waters, he sensed a disturbance ahead—a colony of titanic sea serpents.
These serpents, known as Titanus Hydrus, were quite the formidable sight.
Their serpentine bodies, covered in scales, moved with a fluidity through the water.
They were massive, though none as large as Jörmungandr, their eyes glowing with a blue light further giving them more dramatic effect.
The colony of serpents lived in the underwater cave network of the deep sea.
Jörmungandr's eyes narrowed at their outlines as he approached the entrance to the cave. He could sense the collective presence of the Titanus Hydrus, their serpentine forms slithering around the water.
To him, they were nothing more than pale imitations of his own glorious form, and their existence was an insult that he could not be tolerated.
With a roar that sent shockwaves through the water, Jörmungandr announced his presence through his roar and simultaneous deep-clicks.
The Titanus Hydrus became agitated at the challenge, their heads rising to meet the intruder.
They hissed and bared their fangs, their bodies coiling around as they prepared for battle.
Jörmungandr wasted no time. He surged forward, using his immense weight to crash through the cave entrance and into the heart of the colony.
The water stirred with the force of his attack, and the Titanus Hydrus scattered, their coordinated movements becoming chaotic.
The first serpent lunged at Jörmungandr with its fangs aiming for his throat.
With a swift flick of his tail Jörmungandr swatted it aside its ferocious force sending it crashing into the cave wall.
Another serpent attempted to wrap itself around his body but Jörmungandr summoned a powerful current that tore it free and slammed it into the rocky floor.
They attacked from all angles with their scales glinting in the dim light as they struck at Jörmungandr with relentlessness.
But Jörmungandr was unstoppable. This inferior creature infuriates him.
In his eyes, their attack which these inferior creatures poured their entire being into was nothing but a pitiful display of them being lesser.
He summoned his mighty will of his control over the water, creating barriers and whirlpools that disrupted their movements and left them vulnerable.
One by one, the Titanus Hydrus fell to his might. Jörmungandr's jaws snapped shut around their serpentine forms, crushing them with a force that could break bones and shatter scales.
He devoured them, absorbing their strength and using it to fuel his own evolution.
As the battle raged on, Jörmungandr's power continued to grow. His scales darkened to an almost obsidian black, their sheen reflecting the bioluminescence of the deep ocean.
His body expanded, pushing past 800 meters in length, his muscles rippling with raw power.
The last of the Titanus Hydrus lay defeated, their lifeless bodies sinking to the ocean floor.
Jörmungandr let out a triumphant roar that echoed through the cave.
As he swam through the now-silent cave, Jörmungandr felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
He had crushed the foolish pretenders, devoured their strength, and emerged stronger than ever.
This was a boost to his ego, to his pride, and to his strength.
The ocean was his kingdom, and he would defend it with all the ferocity and power of a true titan.
Jörmungandr continued his journey, ever vigilant for new challengers.
The ocean was vast, and there were many more titans to conquer.
But with each victory, he grew stronger, his grip over the waters growing tighter on each victory.
The sea serpents had been an insult, a mockery of his form.
But now, they were nothing more than a memory.
Jörmungandr swam on with his eyes fixed on the horizon.

As his size grew, his intelligence also grew. And that was enough for him to form thoughts.
Thoughts that made him aware that there is so much more to devour. So much to improve.
As he was gliding through the harsh wave of the ocean, his powerful senses stumbled upon something.
A high concentration of energy surging forth in one point, gushing with rich radiation and energy enough so that his aloft demeanor was caught admiring.
Turning around his ginormous body, the water around him moved and churned, his simple maneuver causing a vortex to happen.
This is his immense power. That a simple movement from him can cause a natural disaster. He swam deeper, locating the source of this mouthwatering energy.
