That was the only word that came to Dante's mind when he smelled the pheromones of the male omega who was lying on the bed in front of him. Lucas was fast asleep. The alpha pheromones that lingered possessively around his body and floated around the bedroom let the beta know that his mate, Evan Whiteforest, must be around.

Dante had come into this room through the balcony. He had managed his way up to the residence of Alpha Draken and it was anything but easy work.

When he reached the town, the dominant had spent a long time looking in vain for a loophole through which to enter. He didn't want to attract the attention of the werewolves who were lurking in the shadows to attack the first who dared set foot on their streets. Therefore, Dante had concluded that his best course was to make a strategic retreat.
