บท 100: CHAPTER 100

EDWINA 

"So, you're serious this time?" My Father asked, his words grave and somber. 

"Dad," I grimaced, my face scrunched up in a wince.

My Father's gaze didn't shift — he didn't even look at me — his voice unwavering as he responded, "It's a legitimate question, one that I need an answer to. Stay out of this, Edwina."

I groaned inwardly, trying to keep a leash on my facial expression to avoid letting him see how exasperated I was. 

Kieran however, kept his gaze carefully blank. He paused for a while at my Father's question, as if he was trying to choose his words carefully.

I could see the muscles in his jaw clench as he struggled with the gravity of my father's question. But when he spoke again, his voice was steady, his eyes locked with my father's. 

"Yes, Mr. Hall. I am serious this time. I am not here for a fling, sir. I care deeply for your daughter, and I intend to prove it every day."
