บท 328: The Nightmare Plagued His Mind

Calix's hurried footsteps stirred Leslie's awake. She faintly saw his silhouette disappearing inside the washroom before anything registered in her mind.

In her drowsiness, Leslie wondered what made Calix rush to the washroom. She initially thought he was just desperate to use the loo.

But...

Leslie couldn't help but shake the feelings that something was wrong with Calix, forcing her to check on him.

Realizing that Calix didn't close the washroom door, Leslie pushed herself out of the bed to sit in the wheelchair. Her ears caught the sound of water splashing, followed by his rugged breathing.

'What happened to him?'

Leslie stopped right outside the open door. She saw Calix's back as he stood opposite the sink countertop, his shoulders slumping forward.
