The knocking sound jolted Jaylene Ziel awake from a deep sleep, and when she opened her eyes, she could even hear a questioning voice from outside the door.

Swiftly throwing off the quilt, she got out of bed and hurried to open the door of the ward, only to see Sophia Wilson frowning at her.

"Jaylene, what's going on? I've been knocking for so long and you didn't come to open the door?"

"I…" Jaylene's face flushed slightly, not knowing quite how to explain.

Sophia Wilson entered, and upon seeing the quilt tossed aside on Joseph Thompson's bed, along with the unmistakable impression of someone having lain next to him, she instantly understood.

She sighed silently to herself but in the end, she said nothing more; these two had already been through enough!
