The vines sharply speared through Isaac's legs and pulled him out of the tree. Soon after, his back was thrown up against some hard ground and dragged inside a cloud of black smoke.

"N-No!" Isaac tried to rip the vines, but only his hands got riddled with wounds as a result of this.

Soon, he was engulfed in the black smoke, and an endless coldness began to seep through his bones. He started feeling a strange kind of terror in the depths of his heart.

The whole thing felt as if he had been dragged into a cave of an ancient beast where he was the prey for the day. The terror came from wanting to live and not get eaten by some terrifying beast.

When a number of figures appeared at the forefront of the black smoke, the terror became more intense. They were clad in the black smoke armory, holding dark-bladed swords.

They were the shadowy figures whom Isaac had assumed to be responsible for the creation of the mysterious black smoke.
