บท 24: Chance meeting

Sauren left meditating Zeph behind and went to stroll in academy common grounds.It was noon time with sun at its peak but area was still crowded with students wandering here and there .

As Sauren was lazing around field he unknowingly ventured into training area.There he saw a masked girl training with sword in empty arena.He was mesmerized with straight and direct moves.He had seen Zeph practising sword but he uses moves which have always some effect like slicing ,peeling ,scraping etc.and all of those moves were interconnected with each other resulting in artistic sword movements.

But here he was first time seeing direct sword moves .No extra movement,no filmsy moves only direct sword moves based on raw strength.She was shredding dummies in casual strokes.

Sauren walked in training area and picked up Spear in his hand .He greeted the girl ,"wanna Spar".She stopped her sword and looked toward Sauren.

After observing a bit she said,"You don't look like spear user to me."

"why?"

He asked curiously.while he was not as proficient as with close combat with Spear but he can easily thwart average spear user .

"A spear user never goes to training area without his weapon"

"well that's true "replied Sauren.

So he put back Spear and took out his platinum covered hand gloves from his backpack.He uses these gloves while fighting Zeph because it's is not good to rely on fire cloak everytime to Spar.

"So shall we?"

She replied Cheerfully,"hand to hand combat master,I never fought one before."

She moved forward to strike with her sword which was avoided by Sauren easily.He moved back and crouched and gathering force in his lower body jumped to punch her in face.She stepped back and striked his hand with her sword .

Dull 'thud'voice was repeatedly heard from training area for long time . Eventually both of them stopped for break.She was breathing hard as she never thought to deal with hand combat master will be so tiring without using energy.

He seems to be like chewing gum always sticking to his opponent and giving him blows after blows and moreover every part of their body is weapon.She learned this lesson in painful way as she once stopped both his hands but he twisted his leg to give her powerful knee butt to her waist .Since then she was doing her best to maintain her distance from him while fighting.

Sauren gave her thumbs up and said ,"you are really good .I spar with my swordsman friend but his attacks are tricky and steep.But yours are pure powerful sword strikes.Ok I think that's enough for day.Thanks for fight."Sauren said as he waved good bye to her.

She was once again stunned by his actions.First when he proposed fight,she thought he was here to befriend her so she replied coldly.But during fight ,she observed he was keenly focused on fight .So she decided to introduce herself when he will ask her name but he went away just like that without even knowing her name.She removed her mask and wondered did he really came only to spar.Inside her mask was beautiful face of Brynn whom Zeph and Sauren met during road proposal.

Actually Sauren did thought about asking her name but during fight he forgot all about it and after fight he remembered he vanished without telling anything to Zeph.So he want to go back urgently because he thought Zeph might be searching for him quite badly.

He ran towards the stadium seats and while running thought struck him taht he forgot to ask her name.

Zeph was enjoying his time of day.He was watching beautiful setting sun with delecious honey sweet in his hands ,he was casually taking small bites to savour taste.Sauren saw the mentioned scene and his anger went through roof.He gritted his teeth and sat beside him .

"Oh you are here ?come ,enjoy these sweets"

"You tried to look for me ?"Sauren asked directly.

"No ,I thought you were probably wandering out somewhere and would return here"

"AND here I thought you would be searching for me so I left behind a beautiful girl without even asking her name and you are chilling out here"yelled Sauren.

"Oh sorry brother,want some sweets if you don't I am going to finish them"replied Zeph with calm face.

"You ,.....yes give it here you can't even finish them by themselves"Sauren snatched sweet Box from his hands.

Seeing him calmed down, Zeph asked ,

"so which girl?"

"Not telling you"

"ok that's fine too"

Sauren waited for few minutes but he never asked again so he gave up and said ," I was strolling....."

"So basically you don't know her name ,her face,her element ...then what the sh*t you know?"

"Hey I know she uses sword style"replied Sauren.

"And which every fourth elemental weapon user uses."retorted Zeph .

"Ah I don't know then ,"

"let's forget about her . Let's go back I'm gonna break through next Chakra point tonight.I am almost at late root level."

"Ok let's go back .By the way you are going to fight axe user tommorow.did you thought about any strategies?"

"Simple strategy . Don't get hit directly no matter what otherwise I will be knocked out in one shot."

"yeah that's 'awesome' strategy"mocked Sauren.

"What ,you got better one?"Zeph raised his eyebrow.

"Well...this is good strategy to follow I'm thinking of following same strategy too if I met axe or infact any other weapon user."replied Sauren in all seriousness.
