After church, she saw the same guy at the church entrance, standing outside as if he feared his bride would stand him up. Kaylee used the opportunity to stare more at his handsome face. "I wish I could date a man this handsome," she dreamed.
"Of course you won't! You are evil! You don't deserve him!" That statement rang in her ears.
"That's true. I don't deserve him. He is too cool, and I am evil." Immediately, she walked past him, and her cell phone rang. It was her mom. She debated if she should pick it up or not.
"Hello," she said arrogantly.
"Kaylee, where are you?"
"Why are you asking?"
"I sent someone to check on you, but he complained you are not home."
"Where do you think I am? Where else would I be? I am in church."
"I warned you not to go when I am away."
"Why wouldn't I? Jeez! I am hanging up."
"Go home."
"No need to tell me that, church dismissed."
"You are a disgrace, Kaylee."
Kaylee hissed and hung up. Then she looked back at the handsome bloke; he was still there. He must've listened to the whole conversation.
"Ugh!" She hissed and walked away.
She got home and took off her handmade designer dress. She was in just a brassiere and panties when she glanced through the window. Her eyes caught something, and she traced it back.
"Motherfucker!" she cursed and closed the curtains. Someone was peeping at her from next door. She didn't get to see the face clearly, but they were definitely peeping!
"Jeez! I won't let this pass!" She put her dress back on, stormed out of her room, hurried downstairs, opened the door, and behold! She saw someone trying to ring the bell. It was the same guy from church. How come?
"What do you want?" she asked desperately, so angry at the peeper.
"I came to apologize and—"
"Apologize about what?"
"Peeping—peeping at you."
"WHAT?!"
"I am so sorry."
"So you live opposite here?"
"Yes."
"How come this is my first encounter with you?"
"I don't know, but I have known you."
"Oh really?"
"Uhm, I will take my leave now."
"Well, nice meeting you, mister."
"I am Allen."
That name rang a bell. Strong. But why couldn't she remember where she heard it from? It sounded disturbing.
"Okay, I am Kaylee."
"I know."
"How?"
"Let's save that for next time."
"Oh."
"See ya."
He left.
