"What are you thinking?"

I turned around to watch as Asher approached me where I sat by the lake, turning away again I stared forward sighing heavily. "How different this night would have been if I was richer? Or prettier."

The wood underneath me creaked as he sat down beside me, letting his feet dip into the water where mine just dangled along the surface. "An apology would not be enough to fix what happened last night but I am sorry about Isabelle."

"Don't, don't apologize for her it only makes me feel worse when you apologize for her like that."

He turned to look at me and I noticed the questioning in his eyes. "I don't know what else you would want, Isabelle would never apologize for this so.."

"Are you really clueless or are you just trying to act coy?"

"You're angry" he stated and I laughed, pulling my lips between my teeth I looked away. "Did Shawn do something wrong?"
