"And I am... Iron Man," Tony said, then snapped his fingers.

Through clouds of pain, Tony saw Thanos start to disappear. He then used the last bit of energy he had to spare to move behind a piece of rubble.

A few minutes later, he heard something drop down next to him.

"Mr Stark Hey, Mr. Stark, can you hear me? It's Peter. We won, Mr. Stark. I'm sorry, Tony; you did it, sir," Peter said.

Tony didn't need to be able to see Peter or read his mind to know that Peter was upset and would blame himself for Tony's death. Tony tried to tell Peter it wasn't his fault, but he didn't have enough energy to speak. He hoped that either Pepper or Rhodey would tell Peter that none of this was his fault.

Seconds later, Tony noticed someone else talking and noticed it was Pepper, and he looked towards her.

"We're safe now; it's OK; you can go," Pepper told him.

Tony then took that as permission and a promise that they would all be OK, and he stopped fighting and struggling to delay his death. He was surrounded by darkness soon after, and the next thing he noticed was waking up and a figure was approaching him.

Tony stood up and looked at the figure.

"Do I know you?" Tony asked, confused as to who the stranger was.

The Stranger pulled their hood down, and it was a man with black hair.

"No, you do not know me. I am here to tell you that Thanos is gone, and Steve Rogers placed all the stones back to their original timelines, and in doing so, he reversed the deaths of anyone who died in place of a stone or through the power of a stone, including you and four others. All of you get the option to return to life and have a second chance at it. But all of you must have a consequence of what happened to you—a reminder of it," the stranger told Tony.

"What kind of consequence?" Tony asked.

"An injury due to what happened to you, your left arm, shoulder, and face took most of the damage. You will more than likely need An amputation and a prosthetic arm to replace your left arm and the injury will also very likely cause pain in your left shoulder, which will probably be permanent. Your left ear was also damaged, so your other consequence option is to have some deafness in that ear as well. You can choose either facial scarring, deafness, and blindness on your left side, or you can choose to have an arm amputation and pain in your shoulder, or you can choose to simply cross over and go to the afterlife and not return at all. We have to do this quickly, or it will be too late. Anyone who is choosing to go back has to do so within a certain amount of time of Thanos being eliminated and the stones going back to where they were; otherwise, it will not work, And I am required to inform you that Steve Rogers is now old age and will likely die within the next few weeks as he got stuck in the past and was unable to return for many many years I am required to tell you this just in case it affects your decision" the stranger told Tony.

Tony thought about it and considered the options. He wanted to go back to Pepper, Morgan, and Peter, but he knew him suddenly coming back to life and not actually being dead could upset them, especially Morgan, who was too young to understand what was happening. She would be confused and upset. He knew she would be happy, but with only being five she would be confused about how her dad died and came back to life. She would be alright without him; she would have Pepper, Peter, Rhodey, and the others would look after her and be there for her, but Tony wanted to go and be the dad to her that he never got. He didn't want Morgan to only have a mother growing up like him. He knew what he had to pick.

"I have made my decision. I want to return to my family and friends. They will need my help if anything like Thanos happens again, and I don't want my daughter to grow up without a father, and Peter will need my help with growing up and learning how to be a proper superhero and have someone to look after him and watch over him; he's already lost too much for someone his age," Tony told the stranger.

"That's reasonable. Which consequence do you want to go with?" The stranger asked.

Tony explained to the stranger that he would be able to deal with the pain in his shoulder and his amputated left arm better than the other injury.

"You will shortly fall asleep. I will approach you and place a spell on you, and then you will fall asleep, and when you awaken, you will be at your house. Your body will disappear from where it is, and so will everyone else who is also in the same position. It will be as if nothing happened except for your injury and your reminder," the stranger told Tony.

The stranger then approached Tony, and that was the last thing Tony noticed before slipping into unconsciousness.
