Huo Sicheng tenderly kissed Gu Qingcheng on the lips.

Gu Qingcheng was momentarily surprised, then she laughed.

"Oh, my mind is a bit slow today. You did mention investigating Qin Chong and others, so naturally, you would have looked into Bai Si too."

"You must be exhausted," Huo Sicheng said, wrapping his arms gently around Gu Qingcheng's waist. "You haven't rested for over a day, and today will be long too. If there's a celebration tonight, you'll be even busier. Going two days and nights without sleep will wear you out, affecting your reaction time."

Gu Qingcheng smiled lightly.

"I hadn't thought of an excuse, but you've come up with quite a few valid reasons for my forgetfulness."
