Five years was a long time indeed. There was no way those players who were stranded in this brand new whole would do nothing about it. There would be at least thousands of players who tried to look for a way back to earth.
Even after the Great War, half of the players were still alive and living in this new world. Those people numbered at least fifteen thousands. Obviously several of them might had conventionally or coincidentally ran into information regarding those during these period of five years.
"Three possible way to gain information about earth?"
"Yep. Only a possibility though, not something imminent."
"Oh really?"
"Earth is something those living here never heard of. Obviously we can't find anything related to it. But, we can change our own perspective a little. If we can't search for it, why not search for something or someone which might know?"
"Elaborate."
"Chill, I will of course. But before that, I just want to clarify something. What kind of person are you? Are you the one who finish the hard labor first and leisurely finish the easy one or the other type?"
"The other type I guess. I live freely like a cloud. I do whatever I want, whenever I want, wherever I want."
"Heh, figured."
Mays recalled his conversation with Stan. He knew that this guy wouldn't sit back and do nothing. Alas, his guessed was right on the mark. Stan had investigated almost everything they needed in Demon Continent. He sent spies all over the dukedoms. He even had spies in the Ancient Demon Empire.
The first method which had at least fifty percent success rate was the demon lord revival. Stan and his guild was precisely waiting for years just for this. They needed to wait for [Royal Blessing] event before they could proceed.
[Royal Blessing] was a ceremony for the coming of cage in Demon Continent. Every royalty would be blessed by the 'World God' existence on their twentieth birthday. Demon lord revival could only be realized by sacrificing a princess who had just been blessed at the Demon Lord's altar. After a thorough search, Stan finally found a princess who met the criteria of the sacrifice. Dragon Princess Darcia of DragonKeep Dukedom was the unfortunate one.
Truth be told, Mays couldn't care less about the fate of those livings in this world. He wouldn't bat an eye if the revived demon lord would once again launched a campaign to eradicate humanity. None of that was his concern.
With how sharp he was, he already knew the reason why Stan waited years for the revival. The reason was obvious. He wanted the Demon King to once again wreak havoc so those people of The Alliance would suffer. Despite the wrongdoings of his side, he still couldn't let it go since his pride was on the line. He need to at least show them that he was not someone easily subdued.
The main point from this process was the fact that those 'World God' existence might appear during the revival. Stan's crazy plan was to subdue that so called god and extract information from him. Something like a 'World God' would surely know a thing or two about their transfer to this world. Hell, that god might be the one behind it even.
Second method which Mays was planning on attempting was the Heavenly Wish Trial in BrutalBear Dukedom. Legend once said that Gods would descend and bestow their blessing upon those with pure heart. Since this rumor was one of the credible one, Stan decided to gamble on it. He had not make a move for this one yet though.
The third and last method with lesser probability to meet a 'World God' was the Underworld. This method was the least credible one yet it was also the most dangerous one. There was no way someone like Stan would bother attempting it. The Underworld was after all a place where even the former Demon Lord was afraid of going.
"World God. Chances of them being the one responsible for this shit?"
"I don't know for certain. But I'm sure it's them."
"Oh? What make you think so?"
"Just a hunch. After combining several pieces of information I have, I came out with it. Those so called 'World God' also took control of ranked bosses to do their biddings."
"Eh, wait. You also subdued insane bosses?"
"Hehe, this fellow who sleep on my shoulder. It's Drasca."
"Damn lucky. I had several but the strongest is ranked eighth, Baribari. Also, a correction to that. Those 'World God' did forcefully took control of bosses but only the high ranked one. Those ranked tenth and below only. They don't want weaklings I guess."
"Only high ranked one?"
"Yeah. Silver Werewolf Baribari is the ranked eighth, one of the elites. I had subdued another two ranker Shadow Leaf Vulpina and Shell Keeper Peraun but they both had perfect self-control."
"Oh I see. But you also come to the same conclusion that those 'World God' are responsible for these possession right?"
"Yep."
Various other important matters were all discussed without any being left out. Theories after theories were verified one after another. The fact that only demon kin's insane bosses could use event bosses' skills and so on. The specific of dungeon instance were also discussed in great details, especially about the enhancement part and zone specification.
Several other common facts which Mays learnt from The Alliance were also discussed. Stan who lived in Demon Continent might not know some of them hence it was natural for Mays to share it. Their deal was information sharing after all.
One thing the both of them agreed upon was the fact that those so called 'World God' were behind their world transfer. Mays wouldn't really mind staying in this world if he couldn't find his way home but apparently Stan was adamant on going back. Because of that, he mobilized his guild to the fullest to gather every single information which might helped in discovering the way back to earth.
Since the other party tried their hardest on gathering the information, Mays wouldn't mind helping them verifying one or two things they needed. More so when their goal was the same, the clues on going home.
------------------------------------------------------
BrutalBear Dukedom was one of the largest dukedom in Demon Continent. Not counting the top four dukedom and the Ancient Demon Empire, this dukedom was one with the most named city compared to other dukedoms. A total of twelve named city in total.
There were a lot of unnamed city and villages all over Demon Continent but those low class settlement were never counted. The reason why only named city was acknowledged was because of the existence of their city lord.
These city lord have at least the strength of gold ranked intermediate bosses and they need to pass through the [Demonic Baptism Trial] in Ancient Demon Empire. There were hundreds of people challenging the trial yet the success rate was lower than one percent.
Inside one of the nameless city in BrutalBear Dukedom, a group of ten hooded people were seen moving around in a suspicious manner. They were none other than Mays and his companions. With Mays, Ria and Hallel at the front, the others followed them obediently without making a fuss.
"Is this city the place we are looking for?"
Ria who looks bored observing the area suddenly asked.
"Nope it's not."
"But you are looking for a city with green wall. Why so?"
"Coz it's early morning. And I feel like eating while observing green scenery."
"Is that really the reason?"
This time, it was Hallel who asked.
"Who knows? Hahaha."
It was almost midnight when Mays and the rest arrived at BrutalBear Dukedom. They spent a lot of time in searching for the exact location of the dukedom. They wasted more time on looking for this specific city, a city with green wall. The map Mays received from Stan was not as accurate as maps from Human Continent. The treasure map in Hallel's possession was even cruder.
"Here it is. Come, come."
With a happy smile on his face, Mays led the others into a rundown diner they just passed by. The diner had an eye-catching name, Bloody Diner. Both Ria and Hallel were clueless as of why Mays suddenly chosen this place as their breakfast spot.
There were literally no customer inside the diner. Mays and his companions were the only one inside aside from the workers, two female waiter who stood not too far from the counter. Both of them were female bear kin.
One in their late teens while the other one was in early twenty. They also had a decent, fine looking face befitting their elegant figure. Their beauty paled in comparison against the spirits or female HeavensTale players though.
After they all took a seat at the largest table, one of the waiter, the younger one approached them and asked for their orders.
"Serve us whatever you have."
"Meats, fishes, bean soup and breads. All of them for… ten people?"
"Yep. And milks for the drinks."
"Okay."
Casually replying to Mays, the female waiter jog down the basic note about their orders so that she would not messed up the orders. Even though this diner looks like it would be out of commission any time soon, it still had regular customers who came periodically. Their boss was also quite generous, paying them quite the salary making these waiters happily worked there.
"Also, tell your boss that a black mantis is praying."
"Aa… Right away!"
The waiter stuttered before she immediately ran into the room at the corner of the diner, probably the boss's room. With how shocked her facial expression was, this might be her first time encountering this situation.
The line Mays just said was actually a secret code used by DarkMonarch's members when they need to talk to the diner's boss. These waiters would obviously be briefed about it when they started working there.
Not even one minute passed before the diner's boss came out. A plump middle aged man with a pointy mustache wearing a noble like garb. On the surface, he looks like one of the bear kin. He rushed toward Mays immediately with a happy expression on his face.
"Sorry about my worker's lack of manner. That one is a new hire."
"Nah, it's okay."
The diner's boss commented with a wide smile. The waiter from before fidgeted as she overheard them. She then walked away toward the counter, leaving the boss with their guest.
"Can I sit here?"
"Please do."
Even before Mays replied to him, he already dragged a chair and sit down in front of them. Apparently, he was also someone who was straight to the point. On closer look, this boss was not actually a real bear kin. These bear kin might not notice but players could easily distinguish them because these fake ears were HeavensTale's famous costume. There were all kind of fake ears, most probably for players to disguise themselves as any races in this world.
"So, why have guild master sent you here? And who are you people? I don't remember any of you guys."
"Who we are ain't important. The important thing is that we need detailed information about Heavenly Wish Trial. I believe that you won't mind filling me up since Stan himself asked me to come here."
Without even introducing himself, that middle aged man started asking questions. Mays didn't really care about it and thought that this was normal. He also wouldn't bother with introduction as he asked the man in front of him the information he needed right away.
Those beside him didn't think so though. The moment they heard Stan's name, they knew right away that the person talking to Mays right now was from DarkMonarch.
"Before asking who we are, why don't you introduce yourself?"
"With how you're acting, you must be a small fry from DarkMonarch. It's okay, we won't do anything to you or this shop."
Both Ria and Hallel started talking almost at the same time after Mays finished his line. Ria was asking back nicely but Hallel on the other hand dissed the diner's boss right off the bat. The both of them never actually cared about other people, let alone those from DarkMonarch.
"Now that is a remark I can't ignore. I am Drea, deputy leader of DarkMonarch's intelligence corps. I believe there are less than ten people in DarkMonarch with higher disposition than me. Care to retract your previous statement?"
"What can you do if I don't?"
Obviously Hallel wouldn't do so. She loved messing around the most. Getting into a fight? That was a pleasure for someone like her.
"Don't regret your action then!"
Kring! Kring!
Along with his angry tone was a sound of ringing bell coming from Drea's palm. Drea actually kept a bell in his pocket all the time. Its only function was to notify his spirits who were nearby.
"You called, master?"
One stalwart-looking handsome male bear kin and a beautiful young woman bear kin dressed in combat attire came out after they heard the ringing bell. Their looks were on par with Mays's and Ria's spirits which meant that their gears were top tier. This Drea was a top member of DarkMonarch after all. He could easily supplied both his spirits with legendary tiered gear.
---------------------------------------------------------
The two spirits under Drea raised their swords and pointed them at Mays and the rest. There were mocking smile on their face, clearly taunting the other party to act.
"Still on your high horse?"
With an evil grin on his face, Drea looked at Mays who sat at the opposite side of him. There were no more traces of kindness in his face as it was now filled with domineering intent.
"Heh! I couldn't ask for better treatment. It's okay if I retaliate right, Mays?"
"Wait a second Hallel! I am going to kick their ass first!"
Both Hallel and Ria tossed their cloak aside revealing their beautiful face together with their sparkling metallic armor and weapons. These two were really simple minded.
"Do whatever you guys want. Just don't kill him."
Mays let out a sigh as he pointed his finger toward Drea. He had no reason to stop these two from doing what they loved most. It was not their fault to begin with. That unfortunate person should curse his luck for provoking these two ferocious beast.
"Mystic Domain!"
"Golden Domain!"
These two never knew the meaning of holding back. They activated their domain right away as the battle commenced. Both of them planned on attacking Drea on the get go but they were both blocked by Drea's spirits respectively.
Ria was blocked by the female spirit while Hallel was blocked by the male. Since both Hallel and Ria used their normal attack, they got blocked easily by those spirits.
"Master, should i protect those two bear kin?"
Damia who sat nearby asked as she saw the situation those two bear kin's waiter were in.
"Suit yourself."
At Mays's command, Damia immediately ran toward the two female bear kin who was cowering at the corner of the diner. These two bear kin meant nothing to anyone inside the diner but Damia was one who wouldn't let bystanders suffer if she could help it. Not to mention that the whole diner was now inside the domain skill casted by Ria and Hallel. It was hell for those two normal bear kin since the domain which appeared out of nowhere was something totally horrifying to them.
Ria's domain was as creepy as ever. The darkness which enveloped the area accompanied by wailing ghost which passed through things as it flew aimlessly. There was one significant difference between her current domain and her domain back when she was fighting with Mays.
Her domain right now was not just her domain alone. It was a combination of two domain, the [Mystic Domain] and the [Golden Domain]. Rather than pitch black darkness, the current domain was a mixture of black and gold, making it looks reddish orange. There were also several flying golden weapon inside the domain, attacking their opponents independently.
"This is… Domain?"
Drea was speechless. This was his very first time experiencing a domain in this world. The impact of experiencing a domain fist hand was high enough but what shocked him the most right now was the identity of these people who came to his diner.
It was an indisputable fact that only eight people from HeavensTale could create a domain. None of these eight people were pushover for sure. Drea gulped as he looked at the man sitting in front of him. This man in grey cape was totally calm. He was watching the fight between his two companions and their opponents without any hint of worry.
One minute passed by with Drea's face becoming paler by the second. He saw how both his proud spirits were toyed with by the two girls.
"Hallel… Mays… And that girl clad in pink armor… Could it be?!"
"Who else? Hahaha."
Mays laughed heartily as he heard Drea's muttering subconsciously. Mays then stood up and removed the grey cape which covered his body, revealing his famed crimson armors. This time Drea was totally convinced by the fact that this man in front of him was none other than Mays, the Red Wargod.
"You're not planning on stopping us right Mays?"
"Those spirits can't even entertain us long enough before they broke."
Both Ria and Hallel walked toward Mays with a steady pace. Not too far from them were the defeated spirits laying on the diner's floor, barely moving. Their arm and leg were badly damaged that they couldn't move them anymore. It took them less than two minutes to defeat the spirits in a one on one battle.
Pink Demon Ria and Golden Reaper Hallel. Their reputation was totally well deserved. They really were beings on different level compared to normal people. Drea's face was totally ashen. Sweats poured nonstop all over his body. There really was no medicine for regret. He really shouldn't poke the hornet nest.
"Just remember, I need him alive."
Mays reminded the two of them again. He had no intention of helping Drea at all.
"Half dead still counts right?"
"I think red HP also a good option."
Just like that, the two of them started beating Drea without holding back. Drea was not even putting up any resistance. He knew that resistance was useless against these people. Doing nothing was in a way, the best course of action for him.
