Slowly the four of them approached the vast mansion, looking at the house in the distance they all finally let out a small sigh. The journey had just been annoying and they all had in that time made so many plans only to chuck them out of the window. Now though, they had their plan.
Though their plan was based on the fact that it would just be the father of Nora they had to fight and maybe a couple of others were with him. But as they all looked at the mansion it was practically crawling with guards.
It seemed like there was a guard at every corner if not two guards at every corner. At least at some points, this was the case on the outer reaches of the mansion, the closer you seemed to get to the mansion itself the number of guards seemed to drastically increase.
Not to mention the walls and watchtowers which gave anyone an amazing view of the surrounding area. It really was an old prison and none of them knew what they should do to be able to break in quietly and get Nora as well as fight her father.
Looking over all of it one more time, the three of them all grimaced. Not one of them knew how to get in quietly then as they all looked over the compound one more time,
Zia quickly took out her book and wrote, "Does anyone actually know where Nora might be?"
" The place is massive and if she is being trapped, how exactly are we meant to be able to find her as well as then get her out?" Aidan spoke
No one really knew the answer to their question. Amber sadly muttered back to her, "I have no idea and I guess the others don't know too".
"This is fun isn't it," she wrote again and showed them
Except for Aidan other two were not surprised by her words because they know how much zia changes when there will be blood spill
We do not have a choice now, I assume. We will just have to make as much noise as we can to let Nora know we are here." As she said this, she stood up properly, Noah's familiar Rak flew down and landed in front of them. His wing seemed to hurt a little.
Looking over quickly, the nerves and worries of Noah seemed all to be fruitless, the crimson dripping blood was not that of Rak. But it must have come from somewhere, looking around he was confused, and then Aiden screamed, "Get down!"
That was when they all heard the roaring wind and then, Boom!
Dirt was chucked everywhere as what seemed to be a fireball missed them all only slightly, denoting behind them in the ground. Aside from Aiden, they all looked back in surprise. Why was someone throwing fireballs here in particular? It was not like they had even made a move yet, yes they think the master of the mansion would know Nora's father, but aside from him how would the guards out here know where they were already?
Trying to believe that it was a condense as they all looked at the small smoldering crater behind them. Aiden cursed loudly. Noah hearing this looked forwards first and he himself could not help but curse.
Looking forwards, the two girls soon saw what they were all cursing about as well. At least now ten fireballs were all roaring through the air heading straight for them! And a little further behind them, was a small group of three guards who were all preparing the next volley of fireballs for them.
"We need cover now!" Amber's urgent voice soon reached the ears of Noah, who in haste summoned a wall of dirt and rock from the ground in front of them! Though it rose rapidly, the fireballs were also about to hit them. In one bated breath, their life though was determined to live that bit longer.
The wall shook firefly as ten explosions echoed out past them, as well as a small heat wave blowing past. Shaking a little, Noah went pale almost immediately. Zia, though, went on the offensive immediately. The ice magic Zia had used before, almost vibrated around her. As if her call and willingness to fight shook the surrounding energy.
Amber had darted out left and Aiden right, as soon as the explosions died away. Their furious yell is easily heard above all the other noises that their particular spot made. Then as Noah's wall collapsed. Zia herself attacked with the fury of an ice queen. A dozen ice spears pierced the little smoke made by the explosions. They themselves did not make the air roar but instead, cry as they whistled along.
The guards were as one would expect, surprised. This, though, did nothing to them. After all, they were the guards of their master's mansion and home. Not to mention now his daughter was home. There was only one thing that scared them so much and that was what their master would do to them if by any chance she was hurt or, by far worse, if she was able to escape. That would mean only that they should be offering up their heads to him.
The guards, in their arrogance, showed off at that moment why they were in fact just guards. Only one of them was able to cast enough magic to defend himself from the onslaught of the ice spears. The other two simply failed, and their broken bodies were now pinned down against the floor. The remaining guard looked at them grimly before summoning more fire to launch the fireballs at what he had assumed were just weak and easy-to-kill kids.
Though, at that moment he noticed Aiden and Amber, right next to him. The two had moved almost due to the attack that Zia had made. Then the guard with an unhealthy crack and crunch fell down to the floor like the two over guards had already. Their three broken bodies just weirdly look fine with the vast prison-like mansion in the background. As they all looked, though, a loud bell could be heard ringing out…
