บท 46: Cult symbol
Days passed quickly and it's already been a month since Amber got hospitalized
She woke up a few days after her operation. No one could read her expressionless face when they said to her about her mother's visit and all things that happened when she was unconscious, except for Aidan.
After seeing Amber lying on the bed like that not moving, Aidan understood that he is different from Amber
It was a simple interest at first. His meaningless confession didn't mean much. He was willing to give up the moment he gets rejected, but after Amber got hurt he changed.
It was not meaningless anymore. After fighting with himself constantly, he knew that Amber is special
The rage he had when he found out about Amber's past and parents, his mind told him
"Protect her" Amber is a very prideful girl who runs away the moment she feels emotion in her dark fogged heart.
So Aidan decided to take it slow
He stayed with her the whole month while she was in the hospital and tried to make her slowly open her heart to him

He joined as a teacher in the school, teaching his electric powers and control of it.
How should a relationship should be between a father and a daughter, he learned it by watching Zia and Will.
The anger he felt when he saw his daughter with a man is new to him.
He tried a lot of times to talk to Nora, but she always avoided him
but today he was set on talking to her and apologizing to her
He saw Nora walking in the woods with Noah while going inside the school
He quickly went to her
"Nora" he called out to her
she got stiff as soon as she saw him
"Look---"
"Stop, today I want to talk to my daughter and only her" he stopped Noah before he can speak
"Fine" Nora replied
"Nora?"
"Noah, you go back, I will see you later"
"Firstly, I am sorry about all the things you had faced. I know I have been a bad father, but it was not my intention

Zia, Charles, and Will are so busy looking for Eren

They investigated it properly and found many clues and a mysterious symbol with a circle inside a square with a dot in between and a line diagonal to the corners
No one had a clue of what that symbol was, but they found evidence that Eren constantly bought magic stones in the market
In general, a magic stone is a life essence of a monster, and Eren is noted as the most powerful magician
So it left them in confusion that why would Eren ever need a magic stone if he has an earth and fire magic in himself
Zia learns all the new things about her father whom she never ever met, which only brought curiosity to her brain
"Found the symbol" Charles came running inside the room
"It's in a book?" Will asked
"No, this is a mysterious cult that formed around 17 years ago for helping poor people
Like a fundraising organization. Although later it was found that the cult was using black magic and some things related to the wall of death using the devil book, so the court banished them and later no one saw them again"
"Why would a fundraising organization use black magic?" Will asked
"I read that all the immortal beings are sent to the other side of the wall, so how come the devil resides here and grants the wishes of the one in return for flesh?" Zia wrote in her book and showed them
"Because it's not actually the devil, but just a trace it left back in that book. There is no actual devil in the book. The book absorbs the flesh and gives the power to the person who asked for a wish to make the wish true by himself. The devil's book was present for a long way back before even the wall of death was formed
by great devil Lucifer who died in hands of an angel, but he left his trace in that book, and mysteriously it disappeared but was told that it appears if you have a dark desire"Charles spoke
"Then why did it even appear in front of Zia? And why did it suddenly disappear?"
