Ryett looped the rope around on his left hand and raised his right to catch her.
Arianne tightened her grip on the rope hastily. Her bare palms, without any gloves, were hot and stinging painfully from the friction, but she didn't let go. "I'm okay!" She shouted after securing her hold.
Dante and Ryett were relieved.
Ryett retrieved his outstretched arm and unwind the rope on his left hand.
"Wife, please don't make me a widow." Dante spoke with a mixture of concern and humor, and he resumed climbing down. He was trying to calm her because he thought she was nervous, which caused her to slip.
"I was just distracted." She explained and climbed down. She heard the same call she heard when she was driving the car. Although it was an inaudible whisper, she was still able to pick up the word-Annie. Only one person calls her that, and it was Magnus.
The two heard and it and decided to divide their attention on her and the surroundings.
