บท 13: Welcome to the timezone

So to understand what was happening we have to go back in time.

---Reverse time skip---

So a year and a month has passed and Izuku's hellish training is still going on or more like he just doesn't want to stop because it never felt enough, it just never felt that he can do something with this level of skills, but that's just his thoughts

But he was strong enough to beat up a lot of people and he uses to practice by beating villains in dark alleyways one on one was not a problem but it's not like he always wins sometimes he has to run for his life. He no matters what was never discouraged by the fact of defeat he thought that a defeat means that he was still lacking in something.

His punches were now strong enough to break someone's jab and he wears rings in all his fingers which have a half-inch-long spike in front of them all, he thought that using knuckles was too restraining.

He even killed some demons but that was not the most enjoyable experience, it went something like this.

"HUH?!?!?!? You want me to kill a demon." Izuku looked towards Stain with wide-open eyes as he wants to say no but Stain's stare is still too intimidating for him.

"You just have to slice its neck."

'You say it like it is nothing.' "I know that but... I don't know how to use those breathing techniques."

Stain looked towards him and he thought that maybe this convinced him but... "You know how to swing a sword?"

"Yes"

"Then there's no need to hesitate, you can do it." And Stain gave him a sword with a green blade which Izuku didn't want to know where it came from.

So in total Izuku killed three demos and MAN!!! it was one hell of an experience. The second time he almost died but Stain saved him but he was determined to improve himself, yes he was about to die and traumatized but he didn't let this stop him.

So now you can say he was pretty good in martial arts and he had also trained his body pretty well, and by pretty well I mean it. After all, this was the only thing that he practically did besides making a design for his suit which he will use if he survives.

So time for some advanced training. In all this time he had been training under Stain he learned how to use a sword and can be said an above-average swordsman so now it's time to move to the extreme level.

They use to practice all day with wooded swords but Izuku didn't swing that in the air, from the very first day he dueled with him and was never able to hit him, and every time Stain hits him it felt like his bones cracked.

Stain never taught him as a proper teacher he just told him the thing he was doing wrong and Izuku has to correct them himself. Training all day and night was hard for him at first, but now he even moved his body after his limbs go numb because he knew the next day he will get a beating from Stain that will awaken all his sleeping nerves.

So today's July 12 and it's Izuku's birthday and two years have passed since the starting of the training and it's the third year of high school. So he was celebrating with birthday Stain by eating cup noodles and watching a baseball match on their retro-style T.V., well it's not much of a celebration but still.

So a few moments of silence passed and Izuku spoke up.

"Hey, Stain... When are you going to teach a breathing technique?"

Stain looked at him with the corner of his eyes and again turned towards the T.V. without saying anything.

"Why do you want to learn those?"

'Is this guy for real???' Izuku knew that Stain didn't like to talk much or explain things to him but still this is a little much.

"Because every else demon slayer has to learn those or the color of their sword will not change and also the fact that they help in fighting," Izuku said with an irritated tone.

Stain let out a heavy long sigh before speaking and started talking with a serious tone"First thing, even if you are trained in a breathing technique the sword will not change color if you didn't have a certain level of skill.

And the second thing, breathing techniques are nothing more than a set of strictly followed moves to execute in a battle. If we talk about breathing during a fight all the martial art use those or every other work that we do. Think about lifting a heavy thing unconsciously it may be we focus our strength on our arms, legs, and stomach.

Demon slayers just practice doing that at will and after so much time their techniques are far superior then what they came out from. Focusing, the strength and blood flow in a particular part of their body, with a set of movements associated with that breathing style with a perfectly timed attack is what makes a breathing style...

And if you want to learn one so badly just find someone who can, because I can't."

Stain's words hit Izuku, real bad. Whatever Stain said was right and but the act is also that every little information is disclosed to the public about the demon slayer corps, but the thing that Izuku thought that Stain was a kind of a muscle brain and those words of wisdom just, truly hit him. But one thing that he said was even more disturbing.

"What do you mean by you can't???" Izuku asked with a curious tone.

"Make a breathing style of your own, and if you can't find someone to teach you."

Izuku brain's fuse was completely blown by this line. First, he didn't answer his question, and then he gave him so absurd but sensible advice that he was amazed by so many things that can't even be named.

"But don't you think even if I can somehow manage to do that won't it take me a few more years or maybe more, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life training."

"What's wrong in training?"

"... There's nothing wrong in that. I just." Izuku ket out a heavy sigh and continues to eat his cup noodles with a depressed look on his face.

"If you want to do it that badly, there is a way but it's not a safe thing. But if you are committed to it I will help you out."

"REALLY!!!" Izuku practically jumped from his place and suddenly had a smile on his face.

"You can go to the timezone."

Now that's a thing nobody should suggest to anyone. A timezone is an area or more like a distortion in space and time because of the dungeon. High-level dungeons create a space around their opening where the time is mismatched with the real world, this phenomenon happens inside all dungeons but dungeons that are higher than 'A+' can affect the surrounding area, and there is only one permanent timezone in Japan created by the breakout of an 'SS' class dungeon sixty-three years ago.

Izuku knew that this was a hell of a thing Stain was talking about. The dungeon may no longer exist but still, that place is filled with magical beasts and things people didn't even know about. But as they say 'NO PAIN NO GAIN.' He may even die, but it's good that he die in a place like that than getting killed/caught by someone as a huge tag of criminal on his head. If he is strong enough to survive he will survive.

But no turning back now "If this is what takes to get stronger then I will do it." He said with full of determination.

"... Before you do you should know that a timezone is a great place for demons to hide because the concept of time doesn't work on them as long they eat and people don't go after them in there."

"Why???"

"Because nobody wants to decrease their lifespan in theirs. Think carefully before you decide what to do."

So another two weeks have passed and Izuku's preparation to go in the timezone is complete. It will take him half a day to reach there he decided to go in the morning but Stain said he should start his journey when the sun goes down.

The reason being simple if he goes in the night he will reach in the morning and he leaves in the morning he will reach there at night.

So now is standing in front of a fence gate he threw his bags to the other side, and then he also jumped over it.

He had prepared food ration for a week and some other stuff and he had another bag in which he had thirteen swords and six of them were Nichiren blades which he still has no idea where they came from nor any intent to know.

After walking for a while he saw a huge rock at least ten to fifteen meters long he climbed it and took a deep breath.

"I doubt I ever felt this excited my entire life." As the sound of roaring beasts echoed in the surroundings and Izuku knew that this is the last day he will be having fun or maybe not.
