Seeing the message notification Sam came to the realization that he had messed up on another front. He had spent the night having sex with a woman while in a relationship with another one. He cheated, in other words. 

This wasn't something like playing with the Valkyries, which aren't even human. Not only did he sleep with Alice, but he also tried to purposefully impregnate her. To make matters worse the feelings he had for her, which he thought had died long ago, were now back stronger than before.

Panic struck Sam like a lightning bold. He somehow managed to cultivate feelings for two women at the same time, and with keeping them both not being an option, he knew he would have to choose between them sooner or later.

His childhood crush, the one he dreamed of being with for a long time, or the sweet Asian girl who had been nice to him from the first time they met, the one he decided to date because he saw himself spending the rest of his life with.
