"Little Hyuna… What we are practicing is different from the powers of this world…" her mother said while she slowly gives her the memories and teaching inside her head.
"The things I am imparting you is called the Rune Mastery… This is the power of our clan."
Lying on the bed, she slowly waves her finger in the air and imagines writing a rune. But then she stops as she is not at that level yet.
In fact, she is not even at the level of a Rune Maker yet.
In Rune Mastery, there are three realms. The Rune Maker is the starting realm of those that practice the skill.
Then there is the Rune Enchanter, which is the second realm. Rune Enchanters are able to write any runes on the four elements… earth, wind, water, and fire.
Her mother, who looks very powerful and could even defeat that powerful guy at that time, is at the Rune Enchanter realm elementary stage.
The last and the hardest to reach is the Rune Conjurer realm.
In this realm, one would only need to think of the rune and rune array in their minds and the universe will bend its will to create such a rune array.
If such a thing is possible, then that person would already be considered a god, right?
According to what she knew, her ancestor who fought against the demon is only a Rune Enchanter Master realm.
Even after obtaining the evil stone, he did not reach the Rune Conjurer realm.

Unlike most of the people who practice in the training hall, she would always be filled with sweat after practicing, and wearing such beautiful robes is not well suited for that.
After changing her clothes she suddenly thought of something.
"Did that guy see the rune arrays I have written on the ground?" she thought.
In the battle against the wolf, Hyuna finally decided to use runes. The rune she used is only a basic enhancement rune array. But she stacked it three times.
That is the reason why the simple stick was able to penetrate the strong muscle of the giant wolf. Plus it also made it easier for her small dagger to penetrate the heart of that beast.
She has discovered that she has been recovering for 2 days already since she passed out.
Her body does not hurt anymore which proves the efficacy of the medicine used to cure her.
Looking at her silk robe, she could not help but suddenly have the desire to turn into a woman again and wear those beautiful silk dresses that the female sect members would sometimes wear when not in their practice suits.
Walking out of the old courtyard, she was greeted by a grinning smile coming from Il Kwan who is standing outside the gate.
"You… You've been waiting for me… here?" she asked.
Il Kwan stiffens a little and nodded his head.
She suddenly felt weird at the reaction of her friend.
"You could have entered the room, as usual, you know…" she said while feeling a bit weird about his reactions.
Il Kwan did not say anything and just walked in front.
"Let's go… we don't want to be late now don't we…" he said with a big grin on his face.
The two then walked towards the Inner Sect gate and Il Kwan called the disciple guarding the huge gate.
"This is my good little brother, Wu Jin. He is supposed to report today as a new scribe." Il Kwan introduces but he is showing a big grin on his face as he proudly lifted his chin up.
The two who are guarding the gate suddenly showed a surprised expressions on their faces.
A scribe might be mortals, but they are exceptional mortals.
They are like the core sect members of a sect.
The two let Hyuna enter the sect, but they stopped Il Kwan from following behind her.
"Young master Kwan… We know of your status, but rules are rules…" one of them said with a complicated look on his face.
He was once a member of the outer sect so he knew how kind and helpful the Outer Sect master is. That is why he did not reprimand Il Kwan when he wanted to follow his little brother inside.
Il Kwan showed a complicated look on his face and then looks at the two in front of him.
"Thank you, seniors…" he said while cupping his hands.
"I hope that you take good care of my junior brother…" he added.
"Don't worry Master Il, no one would dare bully a scribe in the Inner Sect." the other one assuredly said.
Though the two reassured him, Il Kwan still feel worried while looking at the back of his friend who already walking deeper into the Inner Sect streets.
While taking the paved path of finely cut stone, Hyuna could feel the dense amount of spirit Qi in the air. She knew that the Inner Sect is truly different than the Outer Sect.
Plus, if an Outer Sect disciple would absorb such a dense amount of Qi then their bodies and meridian paths would become unstable and it would ruin their cultivation progress.
That is the reason why only those that have reached the Dantian Condensing realm are able to enter the Inner Sect and be an inner disciple of the sect.
With the Dantian Condensing stage, one is able to absorb the rich Qi in the air and fill their body with powerful Qi.
As she walked calmly inside the sect, Hyuna could also feel the excitement in her heart.
The things she is seeing right now are truly new to her. Everything seems novel and majestic.
"What are you doing here?" an arrogant voice suddenly interrupted her train of thought as a young man stood behind her.
Behind that young man stood a young woman who is showing a sly smile on her face.
Hyuna turns around and looks at the two Inner Sect disciples before her.
She could not help but felt a bit scared as the two looked at her like she is some kind of poor peasant.
"The gate guards are truly neglecting their duties… How could trash like him enter this place?" the arrogant young man said as he walked in front of Hyuna.
He suddenly draws his sword and with a wicked smile on his face, he extended his arm to the side with his long sword in hand.
"Since you are a thief I caught, you can only blame yourself for your audacity…" the young man said as he quickly slashed at Hyuna.
Hyuna was truly shocked as the guy is actually going to kill her without any questions asked.
He only asked what she is doing in this place and then he is going to kill her even without her answering.
As the blade slashes over, the body of Hyuna subconsciously moved and then lowered her stance.
The sword's blade missed her by a hair's breadth but she was shocked to feel a sharp searing pain hit her back.
Then she could smell burnt clothes and flesh wafting in the air.
She tumbles to the ground while gritting her teeth because of the pain.
"Haha… Senior brother, you've missed! I think the little fellow is like a monkey and is able to dodge your strike." The beautiful young woman behind the young guy teased.
"Damn it, you poor bastard! How dare you dodge?! You should be honored to die by my hand… a mere mortal like you dare to dodge?!" the young man was enraged as he took it as an insult to his status that a mortal was able to dodge his strike.
In fact, deep in his heart, he was surprised.
This is because; he did not expect that a mortal child could actually dodge his attack.
He looks at Hyuna with a knitted brow as he squints.
Suddenly, a powerful aura enveloped his blade and his body while he lowered his stance preparing to attack her seriously.
Hyuna began looking around and checking if there are other people. She did not know if what would happen next would spare her life, but if she has to use it then she would not hesitate.
Without hesitation, she has already grabbed the small knife behind her back as she also positioned herself in a low stance. Folding both of her knees and then positioning one of her arms in front of her. She readied herself to fight against someone who is stronger than herself.
Meanwhile, watching this scene in secret is the figure of Ji Eun. He just saw someone blocking the path of the young boy and even striking him.
But he was surprised to see the fast reaction of the young boy and he did not expect that instead of running away, he would actually fight against an Inner Sect disciple.
One should know that an Inner Sect disciple is someone who has reached the Dantian Condensing realm… which is two stages gap from a mere body refining stage.
Suddenly, the Inner Sect disciple moved, and the eyes of Ji Eun flicked in anger.
How could that guy be so shameless as to use his full power against a mere mortal?
Without hesitation, he quickly made his move.
