Ye Kai and his family had dinner, and when it was all over, Ye Kaori went to her room.

Ye Kaori's room was sparsely decorated, with a small wooden dresser and a single bed. The walls were white, and the only other decorations were a few simple paintings and an old mirror. The room was well-lit by several small lamps that glow in the corners. The floor was covered by a drab rug, and the window was shuttered from the outside world.

Ye Kaori unzipped her warm tracksuit, stripping it down to her skin. She had no qualms about being nude; in fact, it was liberating. With a deep breath and a slight shiver, she stepped into the bathroom, ready for a soothing bath.
