บท 3: Heating Things up
As Alex turned left into a corridor that led to the cafeteria, he saw over 15 goblins in front of the cafeteria door. They were banging on the door, using their fists and daggers, some even had swords. All of them were trying to break down the door but were unsuccessful.
"It looks like I'll have to heat things up a bit," Alex thought as he watched the goblins struggling harder against the door.
"The chemistry class is nearby, and the infirmary is next to it," Alex began to formulate a plan of action as he walked towards the chemistry class.
After walking through two corridors in the opposite direction of the cafeteria, Alex stopped because there were two goblins in front of the chemistry room holding bows and arrows.
"Damn," Alex muttered quietly before preparing to attack while they were not paying attention.
"1, 2... 3!" Counting to 3, Alex started running with all his might, running so fast that he resembled a professional sprinter.
As he approached the first goblin, Alex couldn't control his body well and ended up thrusting the dagger into the first goblin's head, but unable to control the momentum, he slid with the dead goblin for 10 meters before finally stopping.
"GRRRRRRRR!!!"
The other goblin, witnessing Alex kill its companion, didn't think twice before raising its bow and aiming an arrow at him.
Alex tried to dodge, but an arrow hit him squarely in the shoulder.
"Ugh. Screw you, you vermin," Alex said, trying to control the pain he felt. He stood up and began shooting towards the remaining goblin even faster than before due to the adrenaline of being shot in the shoulder.
Since the dagger was lodged in the head of the first goblin, Alex had nothing to strike the second goblin with, but he didn't hesitate in his attack. He ran with all his might before the goblin could prepare another arrow and leaped with a knee aimed at the remaining goblin's head.
"SMASH!"
A sickening sound of a cracking skull echoed through the corridor. Goblin brains covered Alex's pants as he knelt on the ground, trying to catch his breath and sweating from the intense pain.
"Damn it! This hurts much more than I thought," Alex said as he tried to catch his breath. It seemed he could be faster now, but his body also expended energy much more quickly.
"It looks like I'll have to put some points into endurance," Alex thought as he looked at the notification floating in front of him.

"So, 6 points then," Alex said as he looked at his shoulder with an arrow lodged in it. Leaning against the wall after catching his breath, Alex entered the chemistry class. In front of him were bodies, many bodies, a total of 30 dead students piled up on the left side of the room as if they were trash.
Alex glanced at them for a second before searching for what he came here for. Going to the shelf that stored the experiment materials, Alex grabbed all the flammable liquids like alcohol, acetone, and even found a can of kerosene.
He took a 15-liter container filled with water and poured it all into the classroom sink. Alex began filling the container with everything he found, managing to fill 2/3 of it.
"Now let's solve this." Looking at his shoulder still bearing the arrow, Alex took a deep breath before placing a piece of cloth in his mouth, closing his eyes, and pulling the arrow out.
"Ghhhhh!"
With one strong tug, he removed the arrow from his shoulder, groaning in pain. But without waiting any longer, he grabbed the leftover alcohol bottle and poured some onto the wound.
"Damn it! That burns like hell! STATUS." Feeling the increasing pain in his shoulder, Alex opened his status and decided to invest all his points into constitution, hoping it would help him heal his body faster.

Almost automatically, Alex began to feel a warmth spreading towards his shoulder and then throughout his body. The sensation of receiving a full-body massage helped alleviate the pain considerably.
"Phew," Alex sighed, looking closely at his shoulder and realizing that it no longer hurt as before. Trying to move it slightly, he felt only some discomfort.
He stood up and started walking towards the infirmary, which was two corridors ahead, but before that, he went to the goblins and took a bow and arrows from the two goblins, along with the quiver one of them carried. In total, he had 20 wooden arrows with stone tips. He also managed to remove the dagger that was stuck in the head of the first goblin with some effort.
As he walked down the corridor, he began to hear noises coming from the infirmary, like some kind of guttural chant.
"GUHHHHH-AHHHHG-EHHYGD"
Hearing these sounds, Alex slowed his pace. When he turned the corner, he witnessed a bestial scene.
About 50 goblins were on the ground, engaging in sexual acts with each other, while a giant goblin standing at 1.90 meters, wearing a cloak that covered his entire body and carrying a staff, chanted some kind of incantation and observed the other goblins indulging in pleasure as part of some ritual.
"Don't tell me it's a damn mage," Alex whispered as he stepped back. Even if the 50 goblins disappeared, facing a giant goblin who likely was a mage wasn't on his agenda for now.
"It looks like I'll have to proceed with the plan without the infirmary supplies," Alex said as he returned to the chemistry class and took the container with the flammable liquids. But before leaving, he grabbed some matches and a piece of cloth.
"Let's turn this into a barbecue," Alex said with a psychotic smile on his face as he walked towards the cafeteria.
