Chloe, who was seated next to him, stared out the window, her expression blank but her eyes betrayed a mix of frustration and anxiety.

She had messed up. She knew she had made a mess of things, and she didn't want to imagine how upset her mother would be when she finds out that Delilah knew about their lies and had even threatened her with it.

In the backseat, Sabrina's thoughts raced as she tried to make sense of everything that had happened that day, especially at the police station between Chloe and Delilah.
