Everyone was silent , D was on the verge of crying . She was waiting for their answer with her heart in her throat .
Mrs Sen finally spoke ," Girl , don't misunderstand, we aren't the one who forbade him from seeing you . We don't have any problem with you . Silly child , I even like you more . But it's our son who don't want to see you . He asked professor Kapoor to not tell you . "
D was shocked, she looked back and forth between Mrs Sen and Mr Kapoor , not knowing what to say . After some time she finally spoke ,"May I ask , why he don't want to see me ?"
Mrs Sen was silent , Mr Sen started seeing his wife was not gonna say anything ,"When he left for training halfway through your stay at that base . He met an accident while saving his fellow soldiers at their last mission . He was in coma for 3 months . We didn't know what to tell so we waited for him to wake up . But when he woke and learned about his condition he forbade us from telling you ."
D was aghast ,she didn't listen anything except her mind was repeating same sentence , he met an accident . Her face was pale , her lips were trembling , she asked in shaky voice ," He is well now , right . Nothing happened to him , right . He is doing well na ."
" Everything is all right as long as he is alive ."
Mr and Mrs Sen looked at each other and told her ,"He is crippled now . He can't walk and is confined to wheelchair. But everything else is ok . He is healthy except he can't move about on his own."
D broke into tears . She was happy. She was happy all her speculations were wrong .
