silence....

For God's sake , it has been 10 minutes and her professor is still staring at her with conflicted expression .

Finally her last straw of patience broke and she said exasperatedly ,"Professor , since when do you think so much before talking to me . Are you testing my patience here ? Please say what you want to say ?"

Shounak was amused to see they have good relationship .

Professor laughed heartily and commented ,"I was waiting for you start ."

He showed her the angiogram and asked her ,"what do you think of this D?"

(Angiogram - it is graph showing blood vessels in body obtained through angiography )

D looked at the angiogram and lifted her brows . It was an aneurysm in the aortic arch . But it was tricky as the angiogram was showing aneurysm extended in branches of aorta also though it can't be seen clearly .

(Aneurysm - it slightly bulged part of artery due to weakening of its walls )

(Arch of aorta - Part of largest blood vessel arising from heart and it supplies blood to head and neck )

She asked professor about patients history, it was apperent from what he said that , it developed due to high blood pressure so, the muscular layer of aorta might have been destroyed . So , apart from the bulged part of aorta , the whole aorta might be fragile . The whole picture will be clear only after opening chest of said person .

She explained her thoughts to professor and he agreed with her about doing surgery as soon as possible as it might rupture in worst case . If aneurysm ruptures then chances of full recovery are very low comparable to none .

She knew by now that professor want her to perform the surgery as he has stopped participating in surgeries from last 7 months due to his hand tremors .

She asked politely ,"may I know who this patient is professor ? I think it is some high rank military official whose information has to be kept confidential and our nation can't afford to lose him but I need to speak to his guardian and explain his condition. "
