บท 300: Ghost of the Living

"Do you believe in ghosts, Ageo?"

Ryeong Ageo frowned when Chief Yun Jusawi asked him that question. His pet chameleon skittered off from his shoulder and went straight inside the shady abandoned house of someone named Byeon Tae. 

The little critter seemed to be skilled at searching for things and clues. That was why even though some police officers were creeped out by it, they had come to accept the Furcifer verrucosus— also known as the crocodile chameleon— as part of their investigative force. 

"Why'd you ask, Chief? You can't possibly it's a ghost that killed Wang Dae-ji and this new victim, can you?" Ryeong Ageo followed the path of his little friend.

Chief Yun Jusawi joined him, holding the files in his hand. "According to the autopsy report, this was purely suicide. No signs of resistance or coercion. No drugs in his system. Just wrapped a microphone cord around his neck and suffocated himself."
