บท 81: Night

[Catherine's POV]

All tension left my body, and my shoulders dropped in a relaxing manner as I hummed a lullaby to my son. He was parched asleep on his crib inside his room, and I wished that the night would freeze and morning never came.

However, time continued its course, and I had to leave to hide in my room. His nanny would arrive any moment to feed him, and the mansion would be busy at the first sign of sun from the horizon.

Everything has its end.

I heaved a big sigh and kissed Benjamin on his cheek. "I love you, my son. And I will come to visit again."

I thought I was okay with the one-day visit or even just an hour-long moment with Benjamin. However, my greed wanted more. I was already thinking of how to get Charles to agree to a week stay in here and if possible . . . months.
