บท 80: Meant to be with me

Suzy stroked Chris' hair and gently pulled away from him. Seeing him in this condition, she was hurt too. She looked for water, but could only find alcohol bottles. Her eyes were moistened but she didn't wish to cry in front of Chris for his own sake.

"I was four when I first saw Dad with Petricia," Chris began, bringing Suzy's attention to him. "It is a vivid memory. I saw them in a cafe across from the school cafe. When I told Mom, she told me it must be a friend. Now, I realize why she said that. She didn't wish this affair to come out because she knew Brian would divorce her. It would be better that way, but my mother then fell sick... Terribly sick. Brian got the chance to spend more time with Petricia. Then, Mom died after a few years, taking a promise from me that I'd stay in this family."
