บท 171: Kiss of fire - Part 1

The torches stopped burning furiously before they dimmed down and finally, they flickered out, plunging the room into darkness. The other torches too that were away from the throne died, rendered it impossible for the three people to see anything ahead of them. 

Although Alastair and Samantha could not see each other, they could feel each other's gaze on them. Even in the dark, the gaze was too intense to ignore, especially Alastair's scorching gaze. Alastair snapped his fingers and immediately after, all the torches except the ones behind the throne started burning again.

As soon as Alastair saw the beautiful, green orbs, he was sucked into them as always. However, unlike the previous times, they seemed to hold dominance and power that stunned Alastair. But he was not repulsed by it. Samantha was a puzzle, a puzzle which he so badly wanted to solve and at the same time, he did not want to.
