บท 28: The Calamity Dragon?

Blurred silhouettes that were hovering above her were the first image that Crescent saw upon opening her eyes. The ache that spread around her muscles restricted her from sitting up or even moving an inch from her position.

Her throat was parched as if she was exposed to a long drought and her lips were chapped. Cent did not know why she was feeling these as if she was dead tired from traveling though she did not remember what transpired after being swallowed by the black hole created by her father.

Cent could not remember anything but one word that was whispered right next to her ear.

"Interesting."

She did not know who uttered that word but the single word stuck to her like glue at the back of her mind. Cent knew that if she explored her memory lapse, she could trace it from the single word that clung to her no matter how unreasonable it may sound.

"Crescent? Are you hurting?"
