บท 56: Merlin's Choice

CRESCENT'S GLOWING green eyes looked blankly at the railings where Merlin vanished into thin air. He rode a corpse of a griffin to visit her in the dead of the night. And when she was sure that Merlin finally left the premise of the Forest of Lamentation, she turned her eyes to the shadow that loomed over her balcony ever since Merlin arrived.

No, even before Merlin arrived.

"Pardon my presence during the oath-taking ceremony of that ambivalent necromancer." A shiny pair of black shoes appeared first from the cluster of shadows which blanketed the corners of her balcony – the part where the moonlight could not hit.

A pair of amused azure eyes welcomed Cent as the latter leaned on the railings, her elbows supporting her while her hair was being swayed by the wind.

"Have you enjoyed the show? How is it? Was it like watching yourself, hmm, Levi?" Cent beamed at him as if she was not blatantly insulting him.
