บท 6: The Regret- 6

I have been seeing a lot of comments about the lack of smut/Eechi.

Well, I have to disappoint you but you aren't going to see it multiple times. I will only write it once for one arc and that's it. Multiple will only happen if there are more than one girl.

For me, it's kind of hard to write smut so I decided write it only once for per arc.

I'll remove the smut tag as well. Otherwise people will review me badly for putting wrong tags.

By the way, you can suggest your hentai worlds in the comment section. Though make sure that it's the one where mc is suffering....yes, suffering.

Toyama-sensei was a man in his late forties. Though of average height, he carried himself with a certain charm that made him look better than most men his age. He enthusiastically greeted his former students, his warm smile and lively demeanour filling the room.

"Emi-chan! Ryuuma-kun! It's so good to see you both again," Toyama-sensei exclaimed as he stepped inside.

"Sensei, it's been so long!" Emi said, her face lighting up with a genuine smile.

After exchanging pleasantries, they headed to the dining table, where Emi had laid out a sumptuous meal. The trio sat down, and the conversation flowed naturally.

"Congratulations on your marriage again," Toyama-sensei said, raising his glass of water. "How have things been for you two?"

Emi smiled and began recounting their recent experiences. "Gatou-kun decided to change his job and pursue his passion for writing full-time. And can you believe it, sensei? His light novel is already a major hit!"

Toyama-sensei raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Really? That's incredible. What did you do, Ryuuma-kun?"

Ryuuma recounted the events leading up to the release of his light novel, including the initial meeting with the publisher, the illustration process, and the overwhelmingly positive reception.

Toyama-sensei listened intently, clearly impressed. "That's quite an achievement, Ryuuma-kun. Congratulations to both of you. It takes a lot of courage to follow your dreams like that."

Dinner continued with lively conversation and laughter, with Toyama-sensei sharing stories from the days he taught them in college. The room was filled with warmth and nostalgia as they reminisced about old times.

After the meal, Emi brought out the booze and served drinks to Toyama-sensei and Ryuuma. They continued to chat, the alcohol loosening their tongues and bringing out even more stories and laughter.

As the night wore on, Ryuuma began to lose his composure. His face flushed, and he struggled to keep his eyes open. "Sensei, I have to thank you," he slurred, raising his glass clumsily. "If it weren't for you, I would've never met Emi-chan."

Emi's cheeks turned pink with embarrassment. "Gatou-kun, that's enough," she said, trying to shush him.

Ryuuma's eyes drooped, and he let out a content sigh before his head lolled to one side, falling asleep right at the table. Toyama-sensei and Emi exchanged amused smiles.

"Forgive him, sensei," Emi said apologetically. "He has quite a low tolerance for alcohol."

Toyama-sensei chuckled softly. "No worries, Emi-chan. It's been a wonderful evening. But I believe it's safer for me to stay the night rather than drive home after drinking."

Emi nodded, appreciative of his understanding. "Of course, sensei. Let me show you to the guest room."

As they reached the guest room, Toyama-sensei suddenly hugged Emi from behind, causing her to yelp in shock. She quickly spun around, her eyes wide with confusion and disbelief. "Sensei, what are you doing?"

Toyama-sensei held her firmly, his voice filled with an unexpected intensity. "Emi-chan, I've been regretting rejecting your confession in college. At that time, I was your teacher and a husband, but after seeing you dating and marrying Ryuuma, I felt incredibly jealous. I've always wanted to do this but never got the chance. Tonight, I got lucky."

Emi's heart raced, and she tried to pull away, her voice trembling. "I have a loving husband, sensei. I don't want to do this. I can't break his heart by doing something like this. I did have feelings for you back then, but now, I only want to be with Gatou-kun, my husband."

Toyama-sensei's grip tightened, his voice desperate. "Are you sure you want to reject me here? Maybe you'll regret it in the future. I won't tell anyone. I'm not your teacher anymore, and my wife has left me. I finally have this opportunity with you."

As he continued to persuade her, Emi's anger began to rise. She forcefully separated herself from him, her expression fierce. "No, sensei. I love my husband, and I won't betray him."

Toyama-sensei's eyes narrowed, and he posed a question that made her freeze. "Are you not cheating on him because your feelings for him are stronger than mine, or are you afraid that your feelings for me might erupt after being with me once? It's just one night, Emi-chan. I'll never mention it again."

Emi's mind raced, his words blurring into a distant echo as a single word reverberated in her mind: cheating. It reminded her of something very terrifying, a memory she had buried.

Last week, when Ryuuma gave her that cold look, it terrified her. When she asked if he had a nightmare, he told her that he dreamt of her cheating on him.

At that moment, she was devastated to hear that from the person she loved the most. But since he apologised for it later in the noon, she forcefully made herself forget it, as that cold gaze was something she never wanted to see again.

Today, as they headed to the newly opened water park, when she received Toyama-sensei's call, Ryuuma once again looked at her with that cold gaze.

And now, hearing her sensei's words, she began to curse herself for being so obvious. He must have seen the dream where she decided to cheat on him with Toyama-sensei.

She tried to reason that it wouldn't happen, but when she thought about it more deeply—what if her husband had never changed his job and never showered her with so much love? Would she have done it then? The answer she received terrified her, and tears began to fall from her eyes.

She regretted not asking him about the dream again. She regretted being so obvious about his feelings.

Ryuuma must have seen her confessing to Toyama-sensei back in college. When she accepted to date him, he must have thought she was using him as a rebound from the rejection of her sensei.

Her heart ached as she thought about his silent tears, his fears, and the nightmare that somehow could have come true today.

If that had happened, she would never have forgiven herself.

Filled with anger and sorrow, Emi slapped Toyama-sensei hard across the face. "Get out of this house!" she demanded, her voice trembling with fury.

Toyama-sensei's face contorted with anger, and he was about to say something, but Emi interrupted him. "If you don't leave right now, I'll call the police."

The threat was enough to make him back down. He hurriedly left the house, but not before turning back to threaten her. "You'll regret slapping me, Emi."

When Toyama-sensei left, Emi suddenly recalled something: she hadn't seen her husband at the dining table.

Did he already know about everything? She didn't understand what kind of dream had told him everything, but for now, she needed to clear things up with her husband.

She hurriedly headed to their bedroom on the first floor. As she entered, she saw him sitting on the bed with his eyes closed.

Her tears began to fall once again as she realized he had been testing her. No matter how much he loved her, even he wasn't sure what decision she would make today.

Crying, she rushed to him and hugged him tightly. "Gatou-kun, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me," she sobbed into his shoulder.

Ryuuma gently patted her back, his voice soothing. "Emi-chan, you have nothing to apologize for. You did nothing wrong."

Since he couldn't bring himself to punish her without cause as the first objective was unclear, he had decided to shower her with love and see if she would make the same decisions as in the future he had glimpsed.

If she had, he would have ensured both she and the teacher paid dearly for their actions. But it seemed he was wrong about her. His wife loved him more than anyone else.

"But I... I didn't realize how much that dream affected you. I didn't see how much you were hurting," she continued, her voice choked with guilt.

He sighed and hugged her tighter. "It was my fault, too. I let a nightmare cloud my judgment. I should have trusted you more."

She pulled back slightly, looking into his eyes. "I love you so much. I would never do anything to hurt you."

"I know," he whispered, wiping away her tears. "And I love you too. More than anything."

Their lips met in a passionate kiss, each trying to convey their love and reassurance through the embrace. It was a moment of deep connection, reaffirming their bond.

After a few moments, they lay down on the bed, snuggling close to each other. Emi started to explain everything that had happened in the guest room.

"He hugged me from behind, and I was so scared, Ryuuma. He said he regretted rejecting my confession in college and that he was jealous of you. He kept pushing, saying I might regret not being with him, but all I could think about was how much I love you."

Ryuuma listened intently, his grip on her tightening protectively. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. Do you want to file a police complaint against him?"

Emi shook her head. "No, I don't want to ruin his career. He was awful tonight, but he was still our teacher. Though if he ever tries something like this again, I won't hesitate to call the police."

Ryuuma nodded, understanding her decision. "Alright. But if he ever bothers you again, you let me know immediately."

"I will," she promised, feeling comforted by his support.

He kissed her forehead gently. "Try to get some rest. Don't worry about anything else tonight."

She nodded, closing her eyes as she snuggled closer to him. "Thank you, Gatou-kun. For everything."

"Always, Emi-chan," he whispered, holding her close as they both drifted off to sleep.

~~~~~~~
The next morning, Ryuuma and Emi woke up around nine o'clock. They lingered in bed for a few minutes, enjoying each other's presence before deciding to take a shower together. The warmth of the water and the closeness they shared washed away any lingering worries from the previous night. Their bond felt stronger and more resilient.
After their shower, they moved to the kitchen and prepared breakfast together, laughing and chatting as if the tension from the night before had never existed. As they enjoyed their meal, Ryuuma's phone rang. It was Akari, calling to ask him to come to the official building of her publishing company to discuss matters related to his light novel.
"Akari-san wants to meet to discuss the novel," Ryuuma said after ending the call. "Let's go there together."
"Should I?" Emi asked hesitantly. "I mean, there's nothing for me to do there."
Ryuuma smiled reassuringly. "Of course, you should come. I want you to be there with me. It's our success, Emi-chan."
Emi felt her heart swell with love and pride. "Okay, I'll come with you."
They finished their breakfast and got ready. Ryuuma grabbed the car keys, and they headed out, getting into their car. As they drove toward the publishing company's building, they felt a sense of excitement.
Upon arriving at the publishing company's building, Ryuuma and Emi were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to Akari's office. As they entered, Akari stood up with a smile.
"Good morning, Ryuuma-san," Akari greeted, her eyes then shifting to Emi. "And you must be Emi-san."
Ryuuma smiled and nodded. "Yes, Akari-san, this is my wife, Emi. Emi-chan, this is Akari, the one who I told you about."
Emi extended her hand with a warm smile. "It's nice to meet you, Akari-san. Thank you for all your support."
Akari shook Emi's hand and returned the smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Emi-san. Ryuuma-san has spoken highly of you. Thank you for always supporting him."
They all took their seats, and Akari leaned forward, excitement evident in her voice. "I wanted to discuss the tremendous success of your light novel. The first volume sold out almost immediately, and we're already getting requests for more."
Emi's eyes widened in joy. Ryuuma squeezed her hand, his confidence shining through. "That's wonderful news. What do we need to do next?"
Akari motioned to some documents on her desk. "We're planning a series of promotional events and would like you to participate in some signings and interviews. Additionally, we're considering a special edition release. Your input and presence would be invaluable."
Ryuuma nodded thoughtfully. "That sounds great. I'm willing to participate in it alongside my wife."
Emi's eyes widened with surprise and a hint of nervousness. She hesitated, glancing at Ryuuma with uncertainty. "Gatou-kun, are you sure? I'm not experienced with public events or promotions."
"And neither am I, right?" Ryuuma squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Emi-chan, I want us to share this journey. Your support means everything to me, and having you by my side will make it even more special."
Akari looked pleasantly surprised. "That's a wonderful idea, Ryuuma-san. Having both of you at the events will certainly attract more attention and show the personal side of your story."
Emi took a deep breath, her initial hesitation slowly melting away in the face of Ryuuma's confidence and support. She smiled, feeling a sense of pride and love for her husband. "Alright, if you believe in me, then I'm in."
Ryuuma beamed at her, his eyes full of affection. "I always believe in you, Emi-chan."
"Perfect," Akari said, handing over some documents. "Let's go over the details."
