บท 2: Meeting the Goddess of Reincarnation
I opened my eyes to a white room. I looked around the space and saw a young woman. The woman was wearing a white Greek-style dress. Her hair was a golden yellow and her blue eyes sparkled like shimmering jewels. The woman had snow-white skin and plump rose-pink lips that formed a smile.
Although she was bare-footed, she looked gorgeous and she graciously walked towards me, her white slender legs revealed from a side slit of her Greek dress.
I was in awe of her beauty but my trance was broken when she tripped clumsily over her long white Greek-styled dress.
"Aaaahh!" She yelled and I quickly ran towards her, catching her.
She looked up at me gratefully and I said, "Are you alright?"
"Yes thank you," she responded as she got away from me.
Then, she fixed her messed up hair that had gotten messed up when she almost fell. "Welcome my dear." She said with a voice that sounded like honey.
I looked at her with a confused expression.
"Who are you? Where am I?"
"I am the goddess of reincarnation. You are in the room of judgment, my dear." The goddess said.
"The room of judgment? How did I get here?" I questioned.
"You have died and your soul has moved onto the room of judgment where you will be judged on whether or not you will have the chance to be reincarnated in another world or spend eternity in the endless pit otherwise known as hell."
"I died!?! Nooooo! What about my manga, otome games, and anime?" I wailed.
I felt sad just thinking about not being able to play otome games when the goddess said, "I have judged your soul. Throughout your life, you have never done a bad deed. Your soul is very pure that I will give you the chance to reincarnate. My dear, what of my many worlds do you want to be reborn in?"
"Well, what kind of worlds do you have?" I asked curiously.
"I have countless worlds that you can be reborn in. A fantasy world, a futuristic world, the past world, a game world, you name it, I will have it!" She said cheerfully.
My eyes brightened when I heard her mention the fantasy world.
"In the fantasy world, does that mean that I could become the hero and pick up hot girls along the way?" I asked eagerly.
"Yes, if you chose to reincarnate in the fantasy world then you will become the hero and you can have your harem of 300 women."
Suddenly, I felt like this might not be so bad after all.
"Then I want to be reincarnated in the fantasy world!"
Isn't this considered a gift?! Thank you truck-Kun!
"Oh, my dear! I forgot! I will let you chose whether or not you want to be reincarnated with your memories intact or erased as compensation for your unfortunate death that was not supposed to occur!"
"I want to be reincarnated with my memories," I said.
But then I thought of something. I frowned and said, "Unfortunate death that was not supposed to occur? What does that mean?"
The reincarnation goddess looked at me with a guilty expression.
"That-well-I..." She stuttered.
I waited for her to continue.
"Well you see my dear, my assistants accidentally pushed the wrong person which was you."
"Your assistants?" I asked suspiciously.
"Uh-Yes. I have two assistants. One of them is the one who is tasked to "kill" the chosen ones by pushing them in front of the reincarnation truck and the other one's task is to "kill" the chosen ones by running them over with the reincarnation truck and they got the wrong person, they were supposed to kill the person next to you." The goddess said guiltily.
"It's fine! Thank you!" I said with a happy voice.
She looked at me like I was crazy.
"On Earth, I was no one. I spent my days watching anime and reading manga and playing otome games, life was dull. I'm glad that I will have the chance to be reincarnated into a fantasy world that I always dreamt of going."
The goddess smiled and me and said, "Bye my dear, have fun in your next life!"
I smiled at her, grateful for the chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world.
Soon, my body began to fade away and I closed my eyes to welcome my second life as a hero in a fantasy world.
However, I did not know it at the time but as I was in the process of being transmigrated to my new world the goddess was having a panic attack.
"Oh no, I screwed up again! I can't believe I was so clumsy to press the wrong button and accidentally send him to the otome game world instead of the hero adventure one! I might have my license taking away again!" The goddess exclaimed as she frantically walks back and forth in the room of judgment.
"It will be fine, right?" The goddess said before she welcomed her next reincarnator.
