Heldon’s thoughts scrambled in his mind like a swarm of flies as he walked back through the town toward his house. Tival almost gave his life to save him. He wanted to just be acquaintances, allies at most! And now Heldon went and seduced him.
Heldon was playing games with Tival and it was a huge mistake!
“Now Janz will wonder why I left, and I can’t tell him the real reason because I’ll look like a lunatic,” Heldon whispered to himself while approaching a stall that sold dried meat.
One of Janz’s favorite snacks was dried jerky. He’ll pick some up and tell Janz that was the reason he left. As Heldon paid for the bag of jerky, an old man tending a shop next to him waved and got his attention.
“Oh, Sir Flay, your jewelry was ready, and I gave it to your friend, the little werewolf lady!” The old jeweler smiled warmly, and he looked oddly familiar.
