The city night buzzed with life, the neon lights casting an electric glow over the streets. I moved through the crowd, my eyes scanning the sea of faces. I was searching for her—Anna. She had the audacity to approach my Kyle again, to try and deceive him after she'd made him feel like such shit. My blood boiled at the thought. I had to protect Kyle, and Anna needed to be taught a lesson.

I'm just glad he told me about it himself this time and didn't keep it to himself.

I spotted her, walking alone, absorbed in her phone. Anger surged through me. How dare she actually try to pull off such an awful plan after I warned her literally an hour before? With swift, determined steps, I closed the distance between us. Without warning, I grabbed her arm, yanking her off balance into the long alleyway.

No one usually comes around here.
