บท 323: The Return Of The Emperor

In the present time:

Just as Maximus was about to return to the Moonlight Empire.

He noticed two streaks of light coming toward him.

"Hmm?"

"Skye?"

"The kids?"

Seeing that it was his family, he stopped.

"Maximus!"

Skye flew into his arms, enveloping him in a hug.

"Sorry I made you worried..."

"No, don't talk; just let me hug you," Skye murmured softly.

After years of relentless searching and not finding Maximus, Skye nearly went crazy.

Although she knew Maximus was alive, she didn't know where he was or if they would ever meet again.

The partings she had experienced in her past lifetimes seemed to have traumatized her, that she feared that she would never see Maximus again.

"Don't worry, I'm here..." Maximus sighed softly, gently hugging Skye.

Although he didn't know what she experienced, seeing her lonely back, Maximus couldn't help but blame himself for his carelessness.
