Chapter 54: El Cid, the Death Knight [11] - A warrior's pride

The fight between Rodrigo and Gonzales began.

Both of them wielded swords of different styles. One thinking about using his brute strength to corner the other, while the other thinking about using his swift speed to dodge the attack and then land one on the opponent.

Gonzales began the attack. He rushed straight towards Rodrigo, aiming at his neck. Point to be noted, this was no friendly duel. It was a fight to the death!

One of the reasons why Ordonez had rejected and withdrawn himself from being a champion was because his chances of living would be better off without going to the battle. Moreover, Rodrigo might just die… that was acceptable to him!

Either way, Gonzales showed no mercy as he thrust the sword forward. He had aimed at Rodrigo's neck. However, Rodrigo, rather than blocking the attack, simply lowered his body and dodged it.
