"Can I have a cup of coffee?" Turned out this was the request the boss called me for.
There was nothing important like I was hoping.
"A cup of coffee?"
"Is there any problem with my request?" He frowned at me as he typed away on his laptop.
"Nothing at all." I force a smile, "can I have the money for the coffee?"
"Take this." He dropped a black platinum card on the table. "You can keep that for any office related work you might be sent on." He said without looking up.
"Okay." I nod, expecting him to look up, at least to grace my dry heart with his smile, but he did nothing of that sort.
"I'm leaving." I tried to get him to look up, at least once.
"Go ahead. Do you need my permission for that?"
"Not at all, sir." I took the card and walked out of the office.
It's okay Osy.
I tried to console my aching heart.
This isn't your first time having an unrequited feeling for another. Bin was the first, and now, it's the new boss.
You aren't mapped out for love. Take heart, cupid might smile down on you.

I exited the elevator and rounded the corner, only to be stopped by no other person but BB.
"How have you been? It's been long since I saw you." BB double-crossed me, "I've been trying to get to you, but haven't been successful."
"I've been busy. I need to complete my work, and get the project done within this week." I smile at her, "it's not easy working on two projects at the same time."
" I can see that." She looked around at the workers before she leaned down. "Is what I heard true?"
"Depending on what you heard." I shrug at her words.
"Are you going to be the new assistant of the boss?" Her eyes glitter at those words.
" Who told you?"
Dozzy!
I ball my hand into a fist. I'll teach that big head of a human how to keep things a secret. He can't go about telling BB my secrets.
" I overheard it. You know I have my ways." She giggled to herself.
"Where did you overhear such a comment?" I fold my arms.
"The new business partner of the company. I heard him speaking to someone, but I didn't get to hear what else they were discussing." She smirked, "The moment I heard your name and the good news, I hurried out of there, searching for you."
Oh, God.
I force a smile, "and now?"
"Congratulations!" She squealed.
"Keep your voice down!" I frown at her, "are you trying to let the entire office workers hear you?"
"Of course, not. I'm just expressing my excitement!"
"I can see that." I nod at her, "can I leave you to it? I kinda have something to run." I made to leave, but she stopped me.
"I don't know why, but the bosses of this office seem to have a liking for particular males."
"What are you trying to say?" I frown at her.
"So, are you in a relationship with the boss?" She wiggled her brows suggestively.
"Of course, not." I frown to cover my embarrassment. Wouldn't want her to see the pink tint in my cheeks, and claim something that's not true.
Okay.
I know it's true, but there's no way I'm going to tell that to her.
"Are you certain?" She placed her hand on her mouth, "Bin was this way with Meka. Are you sure it's not the same with you?"
"Positive." I nod my head, "can I leave now?"
"Of course, you can leave. I'm through with my question as of now." She waved at me, "but don't forget to give me the latest gist. I want to be the first to know of everything happening with the boss and you."
" Of course, I Will. But bear in mind, nothing is going on with us."
Although I'll love for something to go on. However, his boss doesn't think of me that way. There's no way he would wish to have a relationship with me.
I walk past the workers, and a few of them waved at me, while the rest made it seem as if I'm the worst scum on earth.
The picture might have been taken down, but that doesn't mean the ones who saw it has forgotten it.
"How was your morning?" The guard smiled when he saw me.
"It was strenuous, no, thanks to the boss." I sigh in exasperation. "It feels as if he wants to kill me before my time."
He chuckled, "I can see that. Mr Meka was a strict boss, but he can't be compared with Mr Mar."
"You bet."
I might not have known Bin's boyfriend as they do, but the few times I've had an interaction with him made me aware of the fact he's kinder than the boss.
But I like it like that. His bossy nature might have been what drew me to him.
"Where are you going to? Outside office appointments?"
"Nah, the boss asked me to get coffee for him."
"This afternoon?"
"Don't get me started on this." I walk out of the door, and towards his favourite Café.
Meka isn't here anymore, so it has automatically become his.

I check the time for the fifth time since I came to this café. But it seemed as if the line doesn't want to move at all.
It doesn't help the fact that the Café only had a barista attending to the customers.
Watching as the line crawled along at a snail's pace, I felt like hitting my fist on a table.
How can a big Café like this employ only one worker?
They can afford as many baristas as they want, why are they stingy in their employment?
"Do you also take coffee from his Café?"
I startle at the voice. Turning to face the person, I smile when I saw who it was that talked.
"Kel?"
"The one and only."
