Ethan was taken aback by George's question. The old man removed his hood, revealing his face clearly. Most of his hair had turned white. If it weren't for the faint red tinge among the white strands, no one would have known that he used to have red hair.

"I asked you seriously. Why didn't you answer?" the old man snapped as he wrapped Helena's treated wound with a fresh bandage.

"He is the guardian at my father's house," Ethan replied. "I am quite close to him. He taught me swordsmanship and how to treat wounds."

George approached Ethan, looking up to keep an eye on Ethan's face since George was shorter.

Ethan felt uneasy, sensing that George was sniffing out something fishy from his explanation. However, in reality, George was pondering something else. His brows furrowed.
