Asher's eyes were scanning me as if trying to find the cause of my discomfort. "You're smelling like blood," he pointed. "I thought your period had already ended."

"Oh, me too," it's easier to let him think that. "I'm just having some light cramps."

He laughed sarcastically, "If that's some light cramps, I can't even imagine the heavy ones."
